Less than 15 min to Red Rocks and Golden and only 20 min to downtown Denver. If you're craving to get out of Dodge for a few days, this is where you want to be. Besides your own private bedroom, lounge, and bath, you'll also have access to amenities that include a hot tub and outdoor "movies on the beach!" My home is located at the end of a cul-de-sac bordered by Jefferson County open space. It's very unique location affords visitors a 270 degree view of both Denver and the front range of the Rockies. The parcel is large, at almost 1/2 acre, and you can access mountain bike and hiking trails on Green Mountain right from our backyard. Your spacious suite is actually 2 rooms joined together. You'll have your bedroom space as well as an additional living room area complete with cable and another Bluetooth sound system. A great place to get ready for a concert at Red Rocks or just chill for the evening on the couch. Of course, you also have your own bathroom that has just been recently remodeled to include a large shower. Your suite is attached to my home but offers guests all the privacy they wish with their own private entrance, patio and backyard space. Guests often remark how private and intimate the space feels. You'll have the benefit of having your own place but also someone available if the need arrives. The best of both worlds! There is also the infamous "beach”, a 600 sq ft sandy area with shade provided by 4 Russian Olive trees, complete with a groovy hammock. It's a perfect place to relax during the day or cuddle up by the fire at night. We've even had a couple get married on the beach while they were staying here! Looking for something unique to entertain you? Check out our large outdoor projection screen. Watch a movie or catch up on your favorite show with our state-of-the-art system. You can even stream live concerts from Red Rocks and dance the night away on the beach by the fire pit! You'll also have access to our hot tub for more relaxation as well as a funky tree house for a bit more adventure. If you're wanting to relax while listening to your tunes, we've also got a Bluetooth enabled sound system outdoors. As a guest you will have access to our beautiful and spacious backyard with spectacular views of both mountains and Denver. While you're hanging out in the backyard you'll be able to enjoy all the amenities, including, our "beach", hammock, hot tub, tree house, performance stage, 2 outdoor fire pits, 6 piece dinning set, outdoor bar set, 'the Adirondack chair lounge". and other furniture. This is the kind of place that will be your oasis, a place where you can chill and not be bothered by the world. If you want some local flavor, Golden is really close, about 10 minutes and has some great restaurants and bars. The famous Buffalo Rose plays live music almost every night of the week. For the inner shopper in you, The Colorado Mills shopping mall is only about 5 minutes away. It includes a 16 screen theater and major stores like Target, Best Buy, Nieman Marcus, etc. Plenty of sports bars as well. The Yardhouse being my personal favorite. : ) If you're flying into Denver, you may not need to rent a car, depending on your agenda. With the opening of the new A Line, you can now take light rail from the airport to a stop very close to my house. An Uber ride to my house from the rail stop is around $5-6. Light Rail is also a great way to go back and forth to the Denver nightlife without worrying about drinking and driving. The train takes you to Union Station. The heart of what's happening in Denver. If you want to explore Golden, the town offers free bicycles for visitors to get around town. Great way to spend an afternoon if you don't want to do Denver. The night life in Denver is pretty amazing.especially if you like live music. Lightrail takes you to Union Station, the heart of downtown Denver. From there you can pretty much amuse yourself to no end. Perhaps the best part is you're only about an hour away from epic powder. Being close to the mountains and the main hwy, I70, makes getting to and from the skiing relatively easy when you stay here. To find out what's going on in Denver and the surrounding area, do a search for Westword and check out their events and/or concert listings. They're the definitive site for events around town. Colorado Ski Country is your best bet for online info, deals, etc. when it comes to skiing stuff. Oh, and finally, yes, we are 420 friendly : )
