Please, make sure to read the full details.we have 4rooms for rent, depending how many people are coming, you might get the full place for you, or 1room, etc. And if you see that we're booked it doesn't mean we have no more room, so drop us a message The space • Details about the apartment: It’s located in front of the sea, on the main cornice of Sour, near all restaurants, shops, coffee shop, pharmacy etc. Its 10minutes walking from both beaches (Jamal , the rocky beach and Rhyam the sand beach). It’s possible to swim in front of the apartment, but it’s important to note that you’re in Sour, and as it’s not considered as a beach in that area (since it's near the street), you have to wear a tee, or whatever to cover you to cross the road before you jump in the water. Even if you won't see much girls in Bikini there, no worries, noone will say anything if you do so, people are the sweetest there! The apartment is on the 4th floor, on the right. The elevator doesn’t work much due to the electricity cut in town, so don’t count on it =) But in the house, we have 5amps generator! In case you're not familiar with the Lebanese electricity issue: The government isn't providing enough electricity, so each town gets a different amount of hours of national electricity. Sour, gets a maximum of 6 hours per day, and that's when we're lucky. The rest of the time, we are using private generators, so there's always electricity in the house =) And we left you a notice full of explanations regarding the electricity at home so don't worry! IMPORTANT: We are renting room per room. This mean the apartment might be shared with others. Rooms are private but the other spaces are common. If you're a group of around 10 people you'll have the full place as we don't live in the apartment. Otherwise you might share upon our bookings. You can always contact us for more details/ special requests etc. There are 4 bedrooms, two of them with a double bed, one with 2 to three single beds, and one with 3 to 5 beds. We have a folding bed than can easily be moved and 3 extra mattress available. Each room has at least a big fan and a smaller fan available, and space for your belongings (night stand, or closet, or drawer). But we do not have AC nor WIFI. Each room has it's own key. 2 bathrooms, both with toilet and shower. An American kitchen (meaning its open to the living room with a kind of bar), fully equipped with : fridge/freezer, oven and hub, microwave, boiler, toaster, blender, and sandwich maker. The living room has couches and a TV with dvd player, play-station, books and other stuff to read (in french, english and arabic). Dining table and chairs as well. Games (Uno, cards, monopoly etc, mostly in french an english) And finally there’s a nice terrace with a beautiful view on the sea and the old romans ruins, with tables, umbrella and chairs. It’s really easy to order food, as the building is easy to be found- and we left you a basket with menus and adress infos (in arabic with latin letters, so you can read it easily to whoever you order from ;)) We don't have WiFi/internet at the apartment, BUT there's tons of cafe just downstairs that open early till late and have WiFi. * You should bring your own bed sheets and towels. We provide pillows and as well warm blankets for winter but you should bring covers (sheets) for them as well. The house isn't a bed & breakfast, nor a hotel, so please bring your own drinks/ food/ shampoo etc. (not pillows:)). Tea and cofee are available at home next to the hubb, help yourself with that:) If you cannot bring your own bedsheets and towel, we can provide them upon request for an extra 10$, that are laundry-shop fees. But you should ask in advance so we can arrange it. *No smoke in the house please, on the terrace it’s totally cool, and please empty and rinse your ashtray after use. *Don't throw toilet paper in the WC, use the trash. This is Lebanon ;) the tubes aren't made for that! * Close the gas after every use, and clean the oven/hub *Don't leave the hot water on more than 30 mins & don't forget useless lights on please, we care a lot about mother earth, specially in a country where we have big electricity issues =) *Replace any damage or broken items, & let us know about it ( we're cool and we know that breaking a glass or a plate might happen to anyone!) *Thanks for not throwing anything from the balcony!!! There's ashtray available next to the kitchen sink, and trash bags too=) * When you go out, please make sure to close well the door and turn off lights and fans! *Leave the apartment clean! Do your bedroom & bathroom (a special attention to the shower and toilet please, make sure you don't leave dirt/sand all over!) , do you own dishes and replace them in their appropriate place in their closets, throw the trashes away,(bathrooms, bedrooms, kitchen), and don't forget to close the windows and bedroom doors with the keys. *Close the principal door with the key => Check in at 2pm or after, check out at 11am. In case you need to stay longer, please let us know. • The keys will be given to you either in Beyrouth either directly in Sour. • It’s important to let me know how many people are coming as you’ll get the keys for the bedroom depending on how many people are coming. (for exemple if you’re two and wana get a double bed, you’ll get one key for the double room, or if you want the single bed you’ll get the key for the bedroom and will get two single beds inside etc • In case of any problem there’s someone who can be contacted directly there, or you can call me. • I can as well inform you about the town (resto, what to visit, etc), I’ll be glad to help, and show you around if i'm in Sour too. Guest access From Beyrouth, you can take the bus at Cola, to Saida, and then from Saida, at the bus stop, take another bus to Sour. Go at the very last stop in Sour, near the souk. Then you can easily ask anyone where's Hotel Murex/Cocinelle, and you'll find the appartment. You can as well easily grab a service! If you're coming by car, you can ask anyone about Rest-house, hotel Murex. If the rest house is on your left, keep straight while having the sea on your left till you see there's coccinelle and it's up to it! During your stay You can call me or text/ whats'app me any time for help/infos. I'll be glad to help and provide more details and answer your questions! I'm mainly abroad at the moment, but it happens that I take some rest in Lebanon, and if I'm in the apartment while you're there I'll be happy to have some drinks or food with you. As well as its a shared apartment system, we have many groups that had the chance to meet in the house and most of them stayed in great touch and had great discussion and all:) Other things to note Keep in mind that you are in Lebanon. There are electricity issues sometimes. Building are also not highly recent, and the south of Lebanon suffers a lot. The painting in the house gets very quickly damaged by the fact that it's by the sea, and quality of paint isn't very good. Some our walls aren't perfectly fancy painted. There is also quickly some light dust around the place. We don't pretend to be a 5stars hotel. It is a family-friendly-chill-like apartment, were I've put a lot of love and spirit. I consider that part of my soul belongs there, and I had some of my best memories in this place. It's not perfect, but what most people will tell you is that ''it feels like home, warm, welcome, and the view is stunning''.
