Enjoy hiking or skiing. The cabin lies peacefully and secluded on 700 meters altitude in northern Dalarna. It's close to nature reserves with beautiful hiking and skiing possibilities – an area with mountain peaks 1100 meters above sea level, glittering lakes and old forests. It's also close (16 km) to one of Dalarnas best ski slopes. ALL information you need to make a successful vacation in the Swedish mountains in summer and winter is found on our website Älvgläntans fjällgård. The space After a day with hiking or skiing it's nice to light the fireplace and relax with friends and family in the cozy atmosfere. Enjoy the warmth in the wood burning sauna and barbeque in the evening sun next to the cabin. THE COSY LIVING ROOM with a fireplace and a spacious couch invites you to relax after a day of activities. There are board games and books. THE BRIGHT KITCHEN is equipped with electric stove and oven, wood stove, spacious fridge and freezer, microwave, kettle, coffee maker and toaster. The woodstove's warmth gives pleasure for breakfast. Feel like baking? In the table drawer lies sometimes baking ingredients that you can use. THE BEDROOM on the upper floor is cosy and spacious. It has a double bed, two sleeping bunk beds, a sofa and a table. 📌 Our accommodation is not suitable for familys with very small children. The stair towards the upper floor (the only bedroom in the main house) is very steep, almost like a ladder and has no gate. See the stair on film. GUEST HOUSE, a small room of about 10 m², is for those who wish to bee alone for a while. The room has a bunk bed (140 cm, 90 cm), two chairs, a small table and a wood stove. THE WOOD BURNING SAUNA is standing in the yard next to the wind shed. Here's room for at least 5 persons. One box of firewood is included in the rental price. If you need more, you can easily buy from us (100 kr/box). Wood is found in the woodshed. Enjoy the moment with good friends. THE WIND SHED WITH FIRE PLACE is a cozy gathering place for meals and conversations. The fireplace has griddle, so bring barbecue. Play bowler on who makes the dishes. Guest access You have not only access to the main cabin, but also the guest cabin and sauna. Other things to note Our accommodation is not suitable for families with small children (under 5 year): The stair towards the upper floor (the only bedroom in the main house) is very steep, almost like a ladder. THE FOLLOWING INCLUDES IN THE RENT: Electricity, heat and water. One box of firewood is for free. Wifi (broadband). Outlet for motorheater (1). Handsoap, dish soap, dish brush, dishcloth, kitchen towel and garbage bags are included. THE FOLLOWING ARE NOT INCLUDED: Cost for charge of electric car: 0,4 euro/Kwh. Bed sheets, shower towels and toilet paper are brought by the guest.Bed sheets can be rented to a cost of 100 SEK/person. Sleeping bags are not allowed. Bed sheets and towels can be rented to a cost of 100 kr/person. At arrival there can be snow in front of the entrénce to the house 3 meters, the sauna 5 meters, also towards the guesthouse and wood shed (10-15 m). Shovels are available. Park the car next to the house at the highest point, by the birch. Then the snow remover can drive past and you do not have to start the car uphill. The main house is heated in winter before the tenant's arrival by a remote controlled air source heat pump. During the stay, the guest regulates heating via the air source heat pump (on/off) and, if necessary, wall heaters. If the guest house is to be heated, the guest must turn on the heating themselves on arrival. We are unable to personally attend the guests arrival/departure, because we live in Falun. The same may apply if something is out of order or the inspection of the house between guests. Contact us immediately if something is not right. We want our guests to bee happy. To have in mind The area is sparsely populated. Even modern GPS navigation might not always guide correctly in this area. Therefore please have a look for the right position on a map, and bring the written directions from our website Älvgläntans fjällgård on your journey. During winter: Check the weather forecast before you go and try to arrive in daylight.
