Le Val St Pierre at Fontenille Farm

Looking for a real break in the countryside, just 1 hour and 20 minutes from Paris? Come and discover our farm in Fontenille, in the Aisne department, for a nature getaway with family or friends. In the heart of an organic farm, you will stay in a manor house. Cows, sheep, goats, ponies and other animals live here. Together with Grégoire, we will be delighted to show you around our farm. Come and enjoy a soothing setting, close to nature, to disconnect from everyday life and rediscover what really matters. The space The large family home can accommodate up to 15 people. It is ideal for stays with family or friends, or for getting together with a group in a quiet and natural setting. The manor house has 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms, which allows everyone to have their own space. The beds are very comfortable. You will also find large living rooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and a fireplace. Built of stone, the house naturally stays cool in summer and warm in winter. We have furnished this house over time, as a family, with lots of upcycled, second-hand and handmade items. Some of the paintings were done by family members, several pieces of furniture were found at flea markets and then transformed, and the light fixtures were handmade. The decor is therefore very personal, and each room has its own little details. Outside, you can enjoy a very natural environment, with space for children and plenty of opportunities for walks directly from the house. The farmhouse is just a 3-minute walk from the house, so you can enjoy peace and quiet in your house while still being close to farm life. Our farm shop is within walking distance. We offer meats, poultry, vegetables, wines, cheeses, and various local products. It is also possible to pre-order bread and pastries. Guest access The farmhouse is just a 3-minute walk away. You can come and discover our farm and see the animals that live on site: cows, calves, sheep, goats, chickens, guinea fowl, rabbits, donkeys and ponies, as well as dogs and cats. Depending on the season, children can, among other things, feed the animals, pet the rabbits or go for a ride with the ponies and donkeys. Depending on our activity and the time of year, we also offer farm tours on request. To enjoy the surrounding area, several walks are accessible directly from the farm. In particular, we are close to the vast Saint-Gobain Forest, ideal for long walks. Two ponds are also accessible nearby. You can relax by the water and enjoy an unsupervised natural swimming pool. In July and August, we also offer pizza and fire pit evenings to share a friendly moment at the farm. For families, an outdoor playground is also available (mud kitchen/straw bale course). The manor house is located in Wissignicourt, in the Aisne department, about 1 hour and 20 minutes from Paris by train. We can pick you up from Anizy-Pinon train station, upon request and for a fee. Other things to note Our farm is organic, with a particular focus on preserving hedges and biodiversity. Farm life is therefore part of the stay. You can see animals and come across agricultural machinery. The activities offered at the farm depend on the season, the weather, and our agricultural activity. The farm tour is offered on request, depending on our availability. Dogs are allowed but must stay on a leash on the farm. The natural swimming pool is unsupervised. Swimming is therefore the responsibility of the guests. For children, activities may vary depending on the season: feeding the animals, petting the rabbits, going out with the ponies or donkeys, enjoying the playground, or simply discovering farm life. The area is also very well suited for day trips. In particular, you can discover Laon, Soissons, Coucy-le-Château, the Chemin des Dames or Axo'Plage. The nearby Saint-Gobain Forest also offers long walks. Our region is particularly rich in nature and history, with many villages, landscapes and places to discover.
