In short walking distance to downtown restaurants, shops as well as parks and trails! The apartment is completely separate with it's own driveway and entrance. Historic charm with brand new amenities! 11 foot ceilings, original trim and floors, front porch, bbq and garden! The space Our home is a two storey Second Empire style dwelling that was completed by the late 1870’s for steamboat Captain Samuel H. L. Whittier. The Airbnb apartment would have originally been the servants' quarters. It features 11 ft. ceilings, charming arched and bay windows, a tin ceiling, and original doors. It has been completely gutted to the studs, and rebuilt to modern standards while trying to retain as many original architectural and character features as possible. It is located in the prime historical neighbourhood in downtown Fredericton, just a short walk to the river, shops, the Christchurch Cathedral, Convention Centre, tennis courts, public pool and more. The space is private, large and well stocked. There is a BBQ, patio table and chairs and garden for your enjoyment. We can provide tennis rackets for the courts just up the street. We are pet friendly however we do charge a $20 pet fee. Please let us know if you have a pet and we'll adjust the fee. Guest access This is a completely separate apartment on the back of our house. It has its own address, driveway, entrance, garden and interior space. There is enough parking for 6+ cars, your trailer or motorhome. You can walk to all shops and amenities. 3 blocks up the street is a public swimming pool, tennis courts, playground, basketball court and pickleball courts and fields. The park is called "Queen's Square" if you would like to research in advance. The walking and bike trails along the river are 2 blocks down the street. Other things to note Laundry available in unit. Coin operated. You will need two loonies per wash and per dry. We provide an iron, ironing board, detergent, dryer sheets, highchair, playpen, extra fans and more. The bedrooms have a/c. Dog friendly (no cats please) but please let us know if you have a dog as we'll have to adjust for our $20 pet fee.
