Welcome Home. Casa 1881 is a property from the late 1800s located at the very heart of the historic center of the city of Riobamba. Casa 1881 is considered to be a national architectural heritage site by our local authorities. Casa 1881 has 6 luxury rooms with private bathrooms (imported porcelain from Spain) individually decorated with modern amenities (queen or king size beds) and handpicked antiquities. Don't miss the opportunity to live a little part of the history of our city. The space I want to be honest with you, It took me two years to rebuild Casa 1881 and I personally put emphasis on the little details, that’s why you are going to find commodities similar or superior to a 4 star hotel (remember that those kind of hotels here in Riobamba usually charge even up to 80 USD per night per room). So I want you to know that you are going to rest in a house filled with history and luxuries for a very competitive (actually cheap) price in the market. Don’t forget that you are going to be attended personally by me, just like If you where a good friend of mine. Guest access You can access all the places in Casa 1881 but the other guest rooms and the kitchen are forbidden. I have a wine store where you can buy snacks or little details like a coffee, chocolate or wine. I offer a lunch or dinner for a fixed price (I´m a chef) with an open menu based on the use of local ingredients, mostly organic if available. Also I can provide you with a private cell phone for personal use at no extra charge. During your stay I will personally attend you and your requirements, we will share some short trips (depends on my time) a cup of coffee or wine and maybe even a slice of cake (I like to bake). I like to share and chat, also I like to show to my guests about our culture and the beauty of my city while I learn from them. Privacy is a big deal for me, that’s why every room in my house is private so you can have your space and a proper rest. Other things to note As you may know, the internet connection in Ecuador is pretty bad, but I have put special emphasis on this, that’s why I offer you the best internet available in the city with GPON connectivity and Netflix on each room (Apple TV and a 32 inch led is provided on each room). Also my beds are the best on the market so you will rest properly with a touch of luxury.
