You will love the panorama, beautiful view over south Iceland FROM THE HOT TUB and if you are lucky, you can even see the Amazing Northern Lights ( winter time ) Welcome to our Cosy Cabin :-) Warm regard, Jon & Anna The space ABOUT THE CABIN ------------------------- A beautiful designed and cosy log house, located in one of the most popular summerhouse area in Iceland, near Gullfoss and Geysir, on "THE GOLDEN CIRCLE" HEATING & ELECTRICITY ------------------------------- The house is heated with natural hot water, in the floor of the house. Usually we keep the heat steady around 21-24° Celsius, so please don't change the temperature, we like to keep same heat for all times. Electricity is always ready. The power table is located in the cloakroom, behind the clothes, just open the right white cap if the power goes off, so you should not need to do anything. ENJOY THE HOT-TUB! ---------------------------- - The hot tub controls are in the storage room. It takes around 2-3 hours to fill up the hot tub. - You should not need to change the heat, it is usually set to 38-40° Celcius - To fill up the hot tub, press "Fylla" ( fill ) button" and turn on the power switch ( turn to the right ) - To empty the tub, press “Tæma" ( emty ) button and turn off the power, by turning the witch to the left - When the tub is full, you can see how hot it is ( on the power box ) - Keep the lid on the hot tub, while its filling up and when its not in use, be careful, the lid is vulnerable. - When the lid on the tub, it DOES matter how it turns, so please make sure to put it back, the way it was. When leaving the cabin, please use 4 latches so the lid is locked firmly, and use the 2 straps also. - When hot water is running in the tub, its best to turn it off, while using the shower inside the house. INTERNET ACCESS 4G ( FREE !!! ) -------------------------------- Inside the Cabin, we have 4G Wi-Fi Rauder from NOVA and it is located upstairs, by the TV. OTHER USEFUL INFORMATIONS ------------------------------------------ - Avoid to leave the door open where a lot of mice are nearby and they are not our guests ☺ - A fire extinguisher and first aid kit, is in the cloakroom, on the same wall and front door. - Use the stairs carefully, its best to turn the same way, going up and down. - If there are children upstairs, we recommend that the gate is closed and locked. - Smoking and animals are strictly forbidden in the house! - Washing Machine, drought and microwave are in storage room and may be used freely. - Dishwasher and oven are in the kitchen and can be used freely. - The Weber barbecue is outside the storage wall. Please clean the frame tightly. - Extra mattress are upstairs, under the roof , behind the railing. WHEN LEAVING THE HOUSE ------------------------------------- It is good to draw down all the curtains when leaving the house. Make sure all electrical appliances, washing machine , drought, dishwasher, TV , radios and lights are turned off when you leave. Guest access Gusts will have access to the whole house & a nice hot tub with a priceless view. Also, during the summer, we have a Trampoline + Large Swinger for kids and adults to play with :) Its located northeast of the house, you can walk there. Enjoy :-) Other things to note Ground Floor.. There are 2 bedrooms on the ground floor and 1 bathroom. Also a very nice living room with built in modern kitchen area on ground floor. Nice Bang&Olufsen Stereo speaker with AirPlay, so you can play lots of songs with superb sound, and all from your phone. You can also plug it on top of the stereo ( iPhone 5-7 )! You also have IMB Laptop computer, connected also to the WiFi and you can use it to browse the internet as you like. Second Floor... You have a very nice open space on second floor, accessable by stair, and up there you have a flat screen 50" 4K WiFi Ultra high resolution Tv and Satellite with many channels in HD. A nice sleeping sofa ( easy for 2 persons to sleep ). You have a nice Queen size bed and also you have 4 good mattresses for people to sleep on, and also a portable "baby bed". Outside... You have access to our loundry room and in there you can turn on and off the very nice HotTub we have outside. The hottub uses natural hot spring water and so does the house ( floor heated ). The area near the sommerhouse... 1 - There are very nice golf courses in the neighberhood. 2 - You have a swimming pool near by ( 10 min drive ) and at Selfoss ( 20 min drive ) you can shop all food you need and get all basic service. 3 - Gullfoss is one of the most popular tourist attraction and you can drive there ( 30-40 min drive ) 4 - Geysir is also of the most popular tourist attraction and you can drive there ( 30-40 min drive ) 5 - You have also horse rentals near by ( 20 min drive )
