SHEPHERD'S HUT, Oxford

Farmoor Reservoir is only a short walk away with it's wild fowl sanctuary, sailing and windsurfing clubs not to mention the trout fishing making this an all year round destination. Many Stunning river walks are all nearby together with two superb pubs/restaurants. Visit Oxford City with its many historic sites for shopping and fine dining only four miles away. Blenheim Palace is also a must for walkers and landscape lovers. Or why not just relax at our the campsite and watch the world go by. The space Our Shepherds Hut is designed for a lovely romantic winter get away it comes equipped with a wood burner, small cooker and hob, small fridge, kettle, toaster, cutlery, crockery. Outside it has chairs, table fire pit and barbecue. We provide a complimentary basket of logs, you can buy additional bags from reception if needed. Our campsite toilets and showers are designed to suit our Glamping site, fully heated with more of a personal cottage feel as opposed to a modern cubicle block. We have two toilets and one shower for men and the same again for women. We have a pay system for the showers but our Shepherd hut guests are exempt from this charge. Guest access Valley Farm is a small four acre C.L campsite which allows five motor homes/caravans and twenty tent pitches. We are members of Freedom Camping. Therefore we remain small and exclusive which enables us to keep the lovely old fashioned idea of camping still alive. We allow camp fires and try to keep rules and restrictions to a minimum, our only policy is that a certain amount of consideration is given to noise levels at night.
