Hiker Hostel:Twin bed #2 (shared room & bath)
Description
One person per twin; you will be sharing the room with another person of either sex unless you purchase all the beds in the room. You will be sharing a bathroom with up to three others. You have access to all the common spaces, indoors and outdoors. So, if you are a private person who doesn't like interacting with other people, hostelling may not be your thing. If that is the case, let me know right away. The space We are a hostel located in the former "Morrison Store" 1800 SQ feet with an overlook to the Manistique River. This building was built in 1901 and has been a mainstay in this community for over 125 years. It has been a general store, a railroad station, a post office, and even a salon! The owner is happy to share the history of the building, the property, Germfask, and the wildlife in the area. Guest access Guests can access the downstairs apartment shared areas & outdoor areas. During your stay We are a hostel. You are in a shared room. It is a mixed sex room. If you want to have the room to yourself, then you are welcome to purchase the other bed. There may be others staying and utilizing the common spaces during your stay. Hostel customers are typically gregarious, social, and like meeting new people. We encourage you to do the same. If you are not social, don't like sharing common spaces, or don't like meeting new people, hostelling may not be your thing. If this is the case, contact me right away. Other things to note If you need to arrange a ride to a trailhead, a guided bird tour, or anything else above and beyond, please contact us before your arrival. The owner is the author of 50 Hikes in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, 50 Hikes on the North Country Trail, and is a retired career biologist. He is well-versed in the trails in the area and the wildlife, and is happy to share what he knows
