Located just a short walk from the mountains and woods, the valley is famous for its terraced vineyards supported by 700 km of dry stone walls that create a picturesque setting, ideal for those seeking a bit of peace away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Recognised by the World Alliance of Terraced Landscapes, it has been a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage Site since 2018 for "the art of dry stone walls" and, since 2020, it has also been recognised as a Historic Rural Landscape by the Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies. There is no shortage of natural gems inside, with the lakes (Santo, S. Colomba and Lases) and the famous earth pyramids of Segonzano, places that can be reached either by a short trek on foot or by mountain bike on forest paths or roads, or by car a few kilometres away. Cembra appears to be a strategic point at the heart of the Trentino Alto Adige region. It will therefore be very easy to reach the most popular regional tourist destinations, as well as the regional capital Trento, 23 km away. Bolzano 55 km. The first ski slopes are 30 km away, Cermis in Val di Fiemme or the Paganella plateau with the slopes of Andalo 45 km away. In summer, you can reach the lakes of Caldonazzo and Levico, 25 km away, or the Piné plateau, just 15 minutes away by car on a convenient road. Here, each season brings different emotions: you can explore the paths immersed in greenery, the numerous lakes, go on scenic excursions, or visit the small villages rich in history and tradition, observe the warm colours of the vineyards and the foliage of the woods that create an enchanting atmosphere. In winter, the valley transforms into a peaceful retreat, perfect for enjoying the quiet and warmth of a cosy home, and for those who love skiing, we are no more than half an hour away from the ski slopes of the Fiemme Valley. There are also numerous routes for bikes and MTBs (we are in the land of Moser and Simoni), but the many well-signposted routes for walkers are equally impressive, not least the "Cammino delle terre sospese" with 6 stages covering a total of 90 km through the entire valley. There are also numerous events that take place throughout the year, especially events such as Wine Trekking or Dolo-miti-vini, in an area that is ideal for this. Our house is the ideal starting point for exploring not only the valley but also Trentino and the entire Trentino/South Tyrol Region, or for enjoying moments of pure tranquillity and serenity surrounded by silence.
