Real farm lifestyle to indulge in...fresh milk from the dairy for a breathtaking, sunrise coffee at the foot of the Langeberg mountains along with loads of fresh air, wide open space for a safe morning run. Endulge in pecan nuts harvested by hand on the farm while having a picnic under the pecan trees. Spend the afternoon wine or olive tasting in the valley and end the day with a traditional South African braai - field to fork style and majestic stargazing! Centrally located - weddings & wine. The space The Republic of Sanddrift farm is a small scale farm with literally a handful of people working the farm. Your experience will be as intimate. The farm house is being renovated and the outbuilding, a more recent addition is your space. It consists of a bedroom and bathroom with a shower, very simple but comfortable and practical. You have an outdoor space to lit a fire for a barbeque and one crate of wood is supplied. A shared kitchen is just next door with fridge/freezer, gas plates, fully equipped. The wide open space of the farm is available for a walk, jogging, cycling or a swim in the farm's catchup dam. Guest access Guests at Sanddrift farm are welcome to enjoy all of the farm, especially the catchup dam used for irrigation which get its water from the mountain. Access to the pecan plantation is a short stroll from your room and is perfect for a morning or late afternoon nap along with a picnic basket, pecan nuts! A visit to the dairy shed for a quick tour can be arranged. The shared kitchen is fully equiped. Other things to note Save rainy days for sightseeing and wine tasting!! Bring comfortable shoes for exploring the farm and easy clothing. Reserve one evening for a big fire barbeque/braai, the stars, the sound of the animals and wildlife settling in for the night - it is priceless!!
