Thatched roof holiday cottage in the Danube Delta

Our house is situated in a peaceful location, near the Strictly Protected Area, Murighiol Lake where you can find wonderful nature and biodiversity and go bird watching. We organize boat rides in heart of the Delta, in the splendid wilderness leading to the Black Sea. A short ride away you'll find Halmyris, a roman fort gasping with wonderful views from the hills. My wife cooks traditional delicious fish dishes with vegetables from our garden. We're looking forward to your visit! The space We provide accommodation in houses which have been built and decorated with authentic natural materials such as wood and stones. You will love the traditional thatched roof made out of the reeds from the Danube river. No matter how hot or cold it is outside the temperature inside remains constant all year long, making it a pleasant atmosphere for our guests. Our boat tours are run by locals who have traditionally lived on fishing and who will offer you insights into the nature and the wildlife in the protected area of the Danube Delta. You will enjoy the sight of different bird species and a lovely swim in a remote beach on the Black Sea! If you still have some extra time, you can always drive to the nearby old Roman- Byzantin fortress of Halmyris or the several lakes, strictly protected by UNESCO for being the home of pelicans, herons, ducks, etc. Of course, after exploring the area, we would love you to taste our traditional cuisine, based mainly on freshly caught fish and vegetables which have been grown in our garden.
