Oak View Manor The Chocolate Suite

Solar-powered, this large family/honeymoon suite is in the 2nd garden courtyard of our 1917 Cape Dutch heritage home. Expect safe gated parking, an en-suite with shower and bath, Netflix, free WiFi, own patio and kitchenette with a small fridge, microwave, and kettle, and a shared barbeque area. You can add breakfast, pre-arrange dinner, or enjoy a drink in our Victorian Boho home and small pub (when open). You are free to enjoy the garden and outside areas, which include a barbeque courtyard. The space Even with its longstanding reputation as 'the most beautiful house in Heidelberg', Oak View Manor recently benefited from a sensitive makeover and some long-overdue restoration. You are welcome to access the main house to relax or read in the comfy lounges, order a drink from our quaint little pub, work on your laptop in the main parlour or chill in the garden or under the giant oak. A hearty or healthy breakfast is available on request with 100% orange juice and freshly ground coffee, (kindly order the night before by 8 pm). Breakfast can be enjoyed in any of the above areas, or served to your room. To enjoy a meal in the parlour, kindly arrange this in advance, before your stay. We can wash and tumble/dry laundry for you on request (at your own risk) and at an additional charge. Your suite has an iron and ironing board. Solar-powered to minimise the inconvenience of load-shedding/power outages. Guest access You have a private entrance to your suite, however, you are invited to join us in the main house tea parlour for something to drink or to relax in the lounges, under the oak tree, or join us for a drink when we are relaxing in the pub, whenever the doors to the main house are open. Other things to note Your suite is the largest and leads onto a courtyard where you can barbeque, cool down in the outside side-by-side bathtubs, or relax beside the fire pit. The only reason our instant book option is turned off is to avoid double bookings (our local booking management platform has difficulty accepting Airbnb bookings). We are sure to accept your booking, should we have availability, and to respond rapidly to your request, we just need to manually add it to our booking platform first. Breakfast, lunch or dinner can be arranged on request and if you have laundry we can assist. Add a baby cot at a small additional fee.
