After a day exploring, return to your cosy countryside retreat. ❤️ The space Escape to Deer Pod, one of our three luxury glamping pods nestled on our working family farm in the peaceful village of Barmby Moor, at the foot of the beautiful Yorkshire Wolds. Deer comfortably sleeps up to 4 guests, with a luxurious king-size bed and small double sofa bed. Inside you'll find everything you need for a comfortable self-catering stay, including a well-equipped kitchenette with air fryer, microwave, toaster, kettle, 2-ring induction hob, under-counter fridge and hot running water. The open-plan living space has a dining area for four, comfortable seating, TV and DAB radio with Bluetooth. There's also clothes storage and a modern shower room with shower, basin, WC and heated towel rail. Outside, enjoy your own private seating area, BBQ and covered hot tub — perfect for relaxing after a day exploring the Yorkshire countryside. 🌿 Deer is dog-friendly and welcomes up to 2 dogs, making it a great choice for those who don't want to leave their four-legged family members at home. 🐾 There's free off-road parking for up to 2 cars, and guests can enjoy our beautifully landscaped grounds. The village children's play park is directly across the road, while the local pub is around a 5-minute walk away. We're also on the main bus route, making it easy to explore without always needing the car. The Local Area Barmby Moor is a small, friendly village just outside Pocklington and is ideally placed for exploring East Yorkshire. Pocklington is just 5 minutes by car, with supermarkets, independent shops, pubs, cafés and restaurants, while York is around 20 minutes away by car. Nearby attractions include Burnby Hall Gardens, Allerthorpe Lakeland Park and the beautiful Yorkshire Wolds, with plenty of opportunities for walking and cycling. For a day beside the sea, Fraisthorpe Beach and Scarborough are around 45 minutes away, while the historic market town of Malton is also within easy reach. For something a little different, why not spend the day exploring York's famous attractions, including York Minster, the National Railway Museum, JORVIK Viking Centre and the medieval city walls? Whether you're looking for a romantic countryside escape, a family break, a walking holiday or a dog-friendly getaway, Deer Pod makes a lovely base for exploring Yorkshire — or simply staying put and enjoying the hot tub! ❤️ Other things to note Please note that Deer Pod is located on our working farm, with livestock nearby. For the safety of our animals and the comfort of other guests, dogs must be kept on a lead at all times when outside the pod area, exercised away from the pods and must not be left unattended in the accommodation. We welcome up to 2 well-behaved dogs. Dogs are not permitted on beds, sofas or other furniture. If you wish to use the hot tub, please bring your own towels, as the pod towels are for indoor use only. The children's play park is located directly opposite the site and the village pub is just a short walk away. As this is a countryside location, you may occasionally experience farm activity, agricultural vehicles and rural sounds during your stay.
