Cottage in heart of Peak District

Welcome to our idyllic hideaway, Lodley View Cottage surrounded by spectacular views and open countryside in the heart of the Peak District National Park. The 3 bedroom cottage has exposed timer beams, a log burner and many original features, with feeling of being in the middle of the countryside with wide open views but only 10 minutes from Buxton and Bakewell, 5 minutes from the Monsal Trail and a ten minute walk from the local pub in Taddington Village. Ample parking available. The space The cottage benefits from an open plan kitchen, living and dining area with a cosy log burning stove and exposed oak beams, yet with all modern conveniences, including wi-fi and TV. There is a spacious kitchen with a washer, a dishwasher and an electric oven and hob with a dining table for 6. Direct access to a large patio with BBQ and private garden is off the main living space. Stairs lead to a first floor, where there are three bedrooms and a family bathroom. The master bedroom with spectacular views and super king bed. The second bedroom is set up with a double bed. The third bedroom is the smallest of the three and has bunkbeds, therefore only suitable for children. The cottage is completely gated and safe for children and dogs. There are beautiful views and walks from the doorstep with hundreds of activities to do in Buxton, Bakewell and the Hope Valley (all a ten minute drive.) With a pub and playground in the village (10 minute walk) you can stay local and relax or go slightly further afield and explore pretty Peak Villages on the doorstep without sitting in a car for any length of time. The cottage has a shared car charging point, which is available upon request for a nominal fee. We ask guests to note that we have chickens, turkeys and ducks that roam free around the farmhouse and cottage. We also have sheep and cows in the field adjacent. They are used to our dog and are very calm and usually stay in a private area of the garden. We ask guests keep an eye on their dog/s around the chickens. Guest access A code for a key safe will be made available for guests. There is private parking adjacent to the cottage with space for multiple vehicles. The garden is contained and safe for dogs. We welcome a maximin of two well behaved dogs. Other things to note We live on a quiet lane with fields adjacent. But we are half a mile from the village with a great pub and playground. In order to ensure safety of guests we keep the gate closed as on occasion livestock can come out of fields onto the lane. We ask guests to note that we have chickens that roam free around the farmhouse and cottage. They are used to our dog and are very calm and usually stay in a private area of the garden.
