Wagner's Ranch, log cabin in absolute seclusion

Our vacation cottage is a small paradise surrounded by untouched nature and without neighbors. The property is located at 750 meters above sea level on a hillside with a beautiful view. It's a rustic log cabin with a living/sleeping studio, a small kitchen, a bathroom and a terrace. The bed is a rustic, self-built double bunk bed and can accommodate 4 people. The space Our vacation home is located a good distance above the beautiful village of Schäffern in a totally quiet location surrounded by nature. The house is located on a forest meadow property with about 30,000 m² in an absolutely secluded location (next to the house there is a second wooden house, which is only occasionally used by us for vacation purposes). The surroundings are ideal for long walks and hikes. Beautiful, family-friendly destinations such as the surroundings of Aspang am Wechsel, Mönichkirchen, Friedberg, Pingau, etc... are all quickly reached by car. Please read the guest manual here on Airbnb carefully. Guest access The house is completely at the guests' disposal for private use. Other things to note This is a self-catering cottage. Please leave the cabin as you found it (i.e. cleaned and tidied up). The final cleaning is therefore the responsibility of the guest and every subsequent guest will appreciate and be happy to find the cabin clean and tidy. If you notice any significant issues upon your arrival, please let us know immediately. Please bring your own bed linens (covers) and towels as well as dish towels. For longer stays, we can also provide our washing machine in the annex by arrangement. Trash: Please place paper in the green bin in the wooden shed. Please simply place glass next to it. Please place plastic waste in the yellow bag. Please take your remaining garbage home with you. Unfortunately, in Schäffern, garbage collection only takes place about every 1.5 months and then only in bags without a garbage can (these must then be deposited at a collection point on the street). Therefore, it is not possible for us to dispose of the residual waste. There is a large fireplace and a grill. Due to the recurring risk of forest fires due to dry periods, open fires may only be made after prior consultation with the owners. Smoking is strictly prohibited in the cabin and in the forest. Smoking is of course allowed on the terrace and outside the cabin. Please dispose of the cigarette butts in suitable containers. An ashtray is available on the terrace. Please empty ashes from the grill, the oven and also cigarette butts into the large fire pit (fireplace at the entrance) before departure. This is then regularly emptied by us. Heating is provided via a fireplace with firewood, which is provided by us. We love dogs and own three Australian Shepherds. Well-trained dogs are allowed to roam freely on the lawn in front of the house. In the forest, the dogs must be kept on a leash and, if necessary, consideration must also be given to hunting. At dusk, dogs must be locked up or kept on a leash, as especially at these times the wildlife comes out of the forest and hunters are often in the immediate vicinity. Access: The location of the hut is characterized by its secluded location. For this reason, the access road (the last approx. 150 meters) from the paved access road is sometimes very difficult to drive on, depending on the weather and wetness. Please only drive with a four-wheel drive vehicle! With a 'normal' car, park at the paved access road and walk the last stretch (we have needed a neighbor with a tractor several times to get the vehicle back on the road when the ground was wet). With a four-wheel drive vehicle, access should almost always be possible. The cabin is located in the middle of nature on a large meadow and directly adjacent to a forest. This brings a lot of peace and quiet, but also means that you are much closer to nature here than in other vacation resorts. So, it's quite normal that with, for example, open windows, flies, wasps, etc. sometimes come into the house or simply fly through. Occasionally, there may also be an ant, spider or some other, crawling creature in the house... Due to the location, this unfortunately cannot be completely avoided and does not constitute a reason for cancellation! If insects really nest somewhere (i.e. any nests, etc.) then please let us know immediately so we can remove them. ATTENTION: Charging electric cars or other electric vehicles is not permitted! This can cause damage to the electrical installations, including fires. Our electricity consumption is constantly monitored using smart meters.
