Spend a relaxed afternoon around Cwmbran Boating Lake (15 miles), enjoy gentle strolls through Sirhowy Valley Country Park (3.5 miles), or venture to Caerphilly (10 miles) to visit its town centre and impressive medieval castle. Afterwards, return to the local pub for a hearty home-cooked meal, served with superb hillside views. You'll first discover the kitchen/diner, which provides sleek counters, modern appliances, and distinct wooden finishes, including the inviting bench-style table. A hobbit hut which is available for hire has seating for up to 20 guests around a central fire pit, and a small bar area. It also has its own shower and WC next door. You’ll also benefit from private parking for one car, making your arrival and day trips a breeze.
