The space The Bakehouse is certainly unique, a quirky ensuite bedroom in our Cotswold garden, pretty and very comfortable! Set in rolling farmland , this is a rural location with views up to Hailes Wood. The Bakehouse was constructed of beautiful hand cut Cotswold stone on the early 1800's with old hand split roof tiles. Originally used to house the bread ovens for the cottages, the coal house and the privy ! We have furnished the Bakehouse with antique furniture to create a really attractive individual space with the things I like to find when I go away....white Egyptian cotton bed linen, large fluffy towels, fresh milk, a teapot! some homemade cake, interesting books... We have now changed the entrance so that you have a stable door overlooking the view - it really is a lovely aspect. Feel free to wander into our 2 acre wildflower from the garden, there is a mown path to follow. We have been creating this haven for our native insects and birds for 10 years- you will see wild hedges and lots of wildflowers! Other things to note Breakfast is not included however I supply tea and coffee making facilities with fresh milk. Also some plates and cutlery if you wish to bring picnic food. Hayles fruit farm cafe is excellent for breakfast choices There is no kitchen in the Bakehouse The postcode GL545PB takes you past the house, after turning off the b4673 to Hailes signposted Hailes Abbey and little Farmcote, go over the little hump backed bridge and we are second house on the left. Please note we are in a very rural location , surrounded by fields and farmland. We always try to help walkers with a lift to the pub up the road.
