Genuine accommodation in a rustic house with magnificent views
Description
If you are looking to get away from the tourist areas and want to experience a medieval mountain village with Italian villagers as neighbors, you have probably come to the right place. In the summer, the village comes alive when relatives who have settled abroad return, and this is celebrated with parties and events. Up in the mountains above the village, there are large untouched natural areas that invite you to hike, bike, and ski, depending on the season. In the village, there are grocery stores, pizzerias, a microbrewery of beer, production of fresh cheese, and traditional artisanal pasta. The space We have the top two floors of the house with a private entrance. On the ground floor, there is a hallway with a vaulted ceiling in exposed brick and a brick floor, as well as a serving cabinet, a fully equipped kitchen with a dining area for 4-6 people, in addition to a larger dining table on the large terrace, a large bedroom with a 160-cm double bed, and a smaller bedroom with room for two 80-cm single beds. Both bedrooms have vaulted ceilings, whitewashed walls, original brick floors, and magnificent views of the Adriatic coast. There is also a bathroom with shower, toilet, sink and bidet. Both the kitchen and bathroom have terracotta tile floors and vaulted ceilings with exposed brick. The kitchen has a modern gas stovetop and electric oven, a fridge with a small freezer, a fireplace, and a balcony with storage for a washing machine. On the upper floor, there is a small living room with a fireplace, a seating area and a workspace. There is a French balcony facing our stairwell and a balcony door leading out to the approximately 25 sqm terrace. The terrace has black wrought iron railings, seating walls on each side, a hand-laid brick floor, and a sweeping view of about 200 degrees over the Adriatic coast, parts of the village, and up to the nearest mountain peaks, Blockhaus and Mamma Rosa, at an altitude of nearly 2,000 meters above sea level. Here, the old reused wooden door serves as a large dining table on wooden trestles. The attic floor has a sloping ceiling from just over 2 meters to about 4 meters in ceiling height. Half of the space is a living room and half is storage. Above the storage room is a large sleeping loft with a 160 cm wide double bed. There is a short staircase with high steps leading there from the living room. The sleeping loft has a window with the same beautiful view as the terrace and the other bedrooms. Guest access As guests, you have access to our entire accommodation on the top floors with a private entrance in the old village house and a spacious terrace. Another owner lives year-round in his own residence with his own entrance on the floor below ours. Other things to note Please note that the accommodation does not have air conditioning, TV or Wi-Fi. There are portable fans. We have opted out of Italian TV, but there are TVs in bars and pizzerias. If you want to be able to watch movies, it is recommended that you bring a tablet. A cell phone with unlimited data usually works well with 4G in the area. Our closest neighbor has a dog that barks when you or others pass by to notify its owner.
