The Old Byre - Holiday Cottage - Frosterley

The Old Byre is one of four barn conversions situated on a small working farm located on the outskirts of Frosterley. The property is surrounded by unspoilt countryside, overlooking the River Wear and the Weardale Railway. The property has been tastefully refurbished and is full of character and charm. The cottage has shared use of lovely gardens, childrens play area, summerhouse and games room. Theres ample off road parking and we allow up to two well behaved pets to join you. The space The cottage is spacious and well equipped. On the ground floor you will find a kitchen/diner, living room and downstairs shower room. On the first floor there are three bedrooms, two of which have double beds and the third has two single beds. There is also a house bathroom on this floor. The cottage has freeview, dvd player and WIFI. The back door leads to the court yard with picnic bench, pond and parking. From the court yard you get access to the shared gardens which has swings, trampoline, bbq, seating, summerhouse, games room with pool table, board games, garden games, tv and a wii game console. All bedding, towels,heating and electric are included. A travel cot and high chair can be provided on request. Up to 2 pets are welcome as we know they are part of your family but would appreciate if they are kept under close supervision. We can also provide a secure cycle store by prior arrangement. Guest access The cottage is one of 4 barn conversions found on our small working farm. As a guest you will have access to the court yards, and gardens. At certain times of year you will see the sheep and cows in the sheds or the surrounding fields. From the cottage door you will find loads of fabulous countryside walks and cycle routes. We are also very handy for a number of great golf courses! Other things to note The cottage is an ideal getaway for couples, families,friends, cyclists, walkers and golfers.
