Tucked into the tea highlands of Tigoni, this private 6-bedroom countryside home is ideal for families, groups, intimate birthdays, celebrations, and quiet team retreats. Built around a peaceful central courtyard with a fireplace, the rooms open into shared outdoor spaces filled with fresh Limuru air. Enjoy the master suite’s bathtub and open-sky shower, nearby horse riding, long slow mornings, and some of the region’s best countryside dining and experiences. The space The home comfortably hosts 12 guests across 6 bedrooms. Four of the bedrooms are larger, featuring king-size beds that can be configured as twin beds depending on guest needs, making them flexible for both couples and groups. The two additional rooms each have a comfortable double bed. Altogether, there are 10 individual beds available. Additional guests (exceeding the 12) can be accommodated in the family room upon request and confirmation by the hosts. Almost every space in the house opens either into the courtyard or the gardens, so there’s always light, fresh air, and a sense of connection to the outdoors. One of the things guests tend to love most is how private and self-contained the property feels. The entire home, courtyard, and gardens are exclusively yours during your stay, fenced and tucked away for complete privacy. The master bedroom sits quietly on the far right wing of the house and feels almost like its own little retreat. It has a large bathroom with his-and-hers sinks, an indoor shower, bathtub, and an open-sky outdoor shower that’s especially lovely in the cool Tigoni mornings or under the evening sky. Bedrooms 2 and 3 open directly into the courtyard through floor-to-ceiling doors, while Bedrooms 4, 5 and 6 look out onto the front gardens. All rooms are thoughtfully put together, and designed to feel calm rather than overly polished. At the center of the house is a large kitchen that naturally becomes the meeting point of the day - early morning coffee conversations, long breakfasts, shared cooking, late-night chats around snacks and wine. It comes fully equipped with everything needed for proper meals, plus a coffee corner with a coffee maker, complimentary coffee, tea and sugar. For guests working remotely or simply needing a quieter corner of the house, there’s also a dedicated home office that opens directly into the courtyard. It’s comfortably set up for focused work, virtual meetings, reading, or journaling - while still feeling connected to the rhythm of the home and the outdoors around it. The living room has a fireplace, warm wooden textures, and large openings into both the courtyard and gardens. There’s also a separate entertainment room with a smart TV, a large sofa , and its own quiet little garden space - perfect if you need a moment away from the group. Outside, the courtyard is really the soul of the home. Fires in the evening, outdoor dinners, board games, quiet reading corners, movie nights under the stars - the space shifts naturally depending on the mood of the day. The front lawn is large enough for games, morning stretches, or simply sitting in the sun with a coffee and doing absolutely nothing. Throughout the home you’ll find lots of greenery, African touches, mid-century influences, and little design choices we honestly just had fun with. We wanted the house to feel lived-in, warm, relaxed - more like a countryside home you return to often than a formal holiday rental. And yes - there’s reliable high-speed WiFi throughout the property if you need to work remotely… though Tigoni has a way of convincing people to close their laptops a little earlier than planned.
