Femund Lodge, Room 103
Description
Femund Lodge offers simple, cosy accommodation and is a great base for exploring Femundsmarka and Gutulia National Parks. Built by explorer Lars Monsen, the lodge has a seasonal outdoor shop, food kiosk, and canoe/packraft rental. In summer, the historic boat Fæmund II stops nearby in Elgå, making it easy to discover beautiful Lake Femunden. The space Femund Lodge is a historic mountain lodge with a long tradition of welcoming hikers and outdoor travellers for simple accommodation. It is an excellent base for memorable wilderness adventures, whether you are starting or finishing your trip. We offer long-term parking for paying guests. During opening hours, you can buy simple food and drinks, including alcoholic beverages. There is also a local grocery store about a 5-minute walk from the lodge, open on weekdays and Saturdays, usually from 10:00 to 17:00 (until 15:00 on Saturdays), though opening hours may vary. EV charging is available there as well. During the lodge’s opening hours, you can also visit Lars Monsen’s outdoor shop, where you may find anything you forgot for your trip - or perhaps something from your wish list. In season, we rent out canoes and packrafts. We also occasionally arrange wilderness courses for everyone from beginners to more experienced outdoor enthusiasts, as well as some guided trips in the national parks. Outside the main season, the lodge can also be opened for larger groups. Welcome to a warm and memorable wilderness stay! Guest access When you book a room, cabin, or 3-bed lavvu at Femund Lodge, you have access to all shared areas, including the living room, outdoor areas, terrace, and large lavvu.
