Cape Cranberry - Oceanfront home in Cape Breton

Welcome to Cape Cranberry, our oceanfront retreat on beautiful Cape Breton Island. Set directly on Cranberry Beach, our home was newly built and completed in early 2026. We designed it to make the most of its coastal setting, with big ocean views, a wet/dry electric sauna on the waterfront, and beautiful sunsets that can even be enjoyed from the bathtub. The space Our 3-bedroom, 2-bath home offers stunning ocean views, direct beach access, and a private electric sauna, with lounging chairs and a fire table, just steps from the Atlantic ocean. Start your day with coffee overlooking the ocean, spend afternoons exploring nearby beaches, hiking trails, golf courses, the Cabot Trail, or downtown Sydney then unwind with a sauna session while listening to the waves or hanging out enjoying a backyard fire. The living room is equipped with a 70-inch TV, and all three bedrooms have their own TVs. Guests can enjoy access to Netflix, Disney+, Crave, and Prime Video on all TVs during their stay. We are centrally located on Cape Breton Island, making it an ideal home base for exploring. The Newfoundland ferry is only 10 minutes away, Downtown Sydney is 25 minutes, the historic Fortress of Louisbourg is 60 minutes away, and the start of the world-famous Cabot Trail is within easy reach. Most of Cape Breton's major highlights, including beaches, hiking trails, golf courses, and scenic lighthouses, can be reached in 2-2.5 hours or less. If you're driving an electric vehicle, we have a level 2 EV charger available for guest use. Guest access You will have exclusive access to the entire home and property during your stay. The only area not accessible is a locked owner’s storage closet, where we keep personal belongings and supplies while sharing our home with guests. Other things to note As a newly completed home, the lawn and landscaping are still a work in progress and will continue to improve. While the property is private, you'll occasionally see members of our local community enjoying the beach and walking the shoreline trail that passes in front of the sauna. The sauna, seating area, backyard fire pit, and pathways connecting these spaces to the house are reserved exclusively for guest use. Due to our oceanfront location, the property can experience strong winds at times. We recommend securing personal belongings and using extra caution near the shoreline during windy conditions. As with any natural beach, conditions change with the tides. Seaweed and other natural shoreline features may come and go throughout your stay. Firewood is not provided for the outdoor firepit but can be purchased from local hardware stores. The sauna shower is solar-heated only, so water temperature depends on the amount of sunlight and time of day. On cloudy or cooler days, the water may be cold. The sauna shower will only be available from mid-May until mid-October and will be winterized for the remaining months. Registration Details STR2627B1808
