We welcome you to our country house, quiet in the hinterland of Provence. La Bastide du Claus built by a squire of Louis XIV away from the small flowery village of Cruis (labeled Village and City of character) has survived the centuries. Its old stones welcome you under the benevolent shade of its hundred-year-old lime trees. Its 17th century pool fed by the source of the property allows you to refresh yourself. You are in the heart of Haute Provence, 700 m above sea level at the foot of the Lure mountain, less than 10 km from the Camino de Santiago de Compostela from Rome to Spain in the country of Jean Giono. The gates of the Luberon regional park and its medieval villages, the regional product market of Forcalquier, the citadel of Sisteron and the Durance valley with multiple sporting activities are all within a radius of less than 15 km. The regional park of Baronnies, that of Verdon and the geological natural reserve of Haute Provence await you nearby. You will leave on foot or by bike from the house to go for a walk or hike (and in winter, on snowshoes or on skis), you will go to visit the picturesque and colorful places in the surroundings, you will read under the old lime trees or else you will do ... nothing at all! Lazing around. Each evening, you will observe the stars in one of the purest skies in Europe prized by astronomers. La Bastide du Claus is also the ideal place for the organization of your yoga, Qigong, painting, choir rehearsals and for your corporate green meetings. So book your charming gîte or guesthouse right away for this timeless interlude, with soothing scents of thyme, lavender, rosemary and hyssop! Entering the country house, you enter an old Provencal house with the charm of yesteryear, with all the comforts of today. Our cottages 2/3 or 4/5 people classified 3 ears or 3 * each have independent access, one or two bedrooms with firm and comfortable bedding, storage space, a bathroom (shower) with lavender scents ( with private wc), a living room, a fully equipped kitchen / dining area (stove, oven, fridge / freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, etc.). Each cottage has its private terrace or its garden area with its deckchairs, its outdoor table, its parasol. Each guest can walk in the park of more than one hectare, cool off in the old stone basin of the 17th century or read in the shade of the hundred-year-old lime trees, respecting everyone's calm. All our spaces are non-smoking. Wifi, barbecue, washing machine and ironing board with its iron are shared access. We also provide a foldable bed and a baby high chair. The lodgings are rented by the week only. For more flexibility, your arrival day can be Friday, Saturday or Sunday depending on availability. The lodgings can be booked on request for a weekend or a few days during off-peak periods. The Basilic gite is a large T2 of 40 m2 for 2 people in the southern part of the bastide on the ground floor (on request, possibility of adding a bed for a third person). Its separate bedroom has a 200 x 140 cm bed.
