Description

Our lovely cottage & courtyard garden is on a quiet street in old Harwich, just one road back from the pier. Excellent pubs & beach staggeringly close, 5 minute walk to train station, 2 stops to international ferry to Holland, London 1hr20m. The cottage has three bedrooms over two floors (with very steep stairs) and is suitable for children & well behaved, house trained pets. I have completed the Control of Cross Infection in a Post Covid 19 World Qualification, which guides our cleaning regime. The space The cottage is close to the international ferry services (2 stops & 5 minutes on the train), beaches, excellent pubs and restaurants in the immediate vicinity, and reputedly this coast of Essex has the sunniest microclimate in Britain. Guest access You will be renting the whole cottage which has a well equipped kitchen, ground floor bathroom, living room with superfast broadband, HD TV, DVD player and open fire. Upstairs there is a double room and a single room on the first floor, and a further double on the top floor. Other things to note The cottage was built in the late 1700s / early 1800s by the Dutch, who are notorious for maximising the use of space, hence the stairs are steep with narrow treads and high risers, just like on a boat.
