Welcome to a peaceful oasis for the whole family! This charming accommodation has been carefully renovated to keep its cozy, rural soul. Here, you log out of the TV and Wi-Fi to instead log in to quality time together. The kitchen is preserved in its original state (low sink, for example). Stovetop and small oven are available (see pictures) Stay with your feet in the grass in the quiet countryside, but with convenient access to both cities and adventures. Our family, which consists of 2 adults, our 5-year-old daughter and our 4 dogs (Shetland Sheepdogs) who are very nice but can be boisterous, lives in the other house on the property. Since we are new hosts here, we welcome feedback on what we can do better. Experience Skaraborg from Lundsbrunn! ​Lundsbrunn is the perfect starting point for exploring Skaraborg. Here you stay in a quiet and idyllic environment, with plenty of exciting excursion destinations, adventures and beautiful nature just a short drive away. ​In addition, we have the convenience of our own grocery store in Lundsbrunn (Handlar'n), which is also open late in the evening, so you can easily buy fresh snacks for your outing or shop for the evening. ​Here are some of our tips on what to see and do in the surrounding area: ​Adventures & Activities ​High ropes course & Billingen in Skövde (about 25 minutes / 30 km): Up on the plateau mountain Billingen, you will find the Upzone high ropes course where you can challenge yourself among the treetops. On Billingen, there is also Arena Skövde (adventure pool), an outdoor pool, fantastic mountain bike trails and fun playgrounds for the kids. ​Skara Sommarland (about 15 minutes / 15 km): Scandinavia's largest water park! An absolute must for the whole family with rides, go-karts and wet adventures. ​Cozy towns, culture & shopping ​The porcelain town of Lidköping (about 15 min / 18 km): A fantastically cozy town by Lake Vänern. Here you can have coffee at historic cafes, visit Rörstrand Center for porcelain shopping and experience the lively market at the huge Nya Stadens Torg (Wednesdays and Saturdays). ​Läckö Castle (about 35 min / 43 km): Continue past Lidköping out to Kållandsö and visit the fairytale baroque castle that has been voted Sweden's most beautiful castle. There is also the cozy Spikens Fiskehamn right nearby, where you can eat smoked whitefish and roe. ​The port city of Mariestad (about 25 minutes / 30 km): A charming summer town on the shores of Lake Vänern. Stroll through the old wooden neighborhoods or have an ice cream in the lively guest harbor. ​Animals & Nature for the whole family ​Mössebergs Djurpark in Falköping (about 30 min / 33 km): A very cozy and completely free zoo up on the mountain Mösseberg. Here you can see everything from goats and pigs to fallow deer, and there are fantastic playgrounds and nice barbecue areas. ​Hornborgasjön (about 25 min / 25 km): World-famous for the crane dance in the spring, but a fantastic nature reserve year-round with nice hiking trails, hides and two nature centers (Fågeludden and Trandansen) with fun exhibits. ​Hiking Trails & Scenic Areas ​Sörboleden (Just around the corner!): You don't even need to start the car. Sörboleden stretches along the Mariedalsån just outside Lundsbrunn and offers a lush, almost magical ravine environment and beautiful nature. ​Kinnekulle – The Flowering Mountain (about 15-20 min away): A paradise for nature lovers, hikers and cyclists. Here you will find the famous Kinnekulleleden (45 km in total, but easy to walk in shorter stages), the mighty Stora Stenbrottet (also called the "Mini-Grand Canyon") and the beautiful viewing point up by the observation tower.
