Located on the Wild Atlantic Way near Downpatrick Head and with great sea views, Broadhaven Cottage is a special place to escape to! Located 3km from Ballycastle Village in County Mayo the scenery & solstice here is unrivaled in the West. Coast walks, beaches, fauna & flora, fishing, farms, hill & mountain walks, Ceide Fields, monastic sites, diving, golf, the odd pub, & even beach horse racing are just some of the attractions in this beautiful part of Ireland. Welcome and sit by the fireside! The space Broadhaven Cottage is a wonderful isolated escape! and in a time of Covid-19 extra attendtion is being given to our 5 Star rated cleanliness. The cottage was built of stone in the 1920's , a typical cosy 2 bedroom farmers cottage. It’s near the end of a cul-de-sac 3km outside Ballycastle in County Mayo. The cottage is 70m2 , warm , comfortable with a wonderful large stone fireplace in the kitchen. The house has an entrance area leading to the kitchen/dining room. There are 2 bedrooms and a bathroom with shower and separate bath. There is also a living room with another fireplace and a sofa bed that connects to the patio outside through double glass doors. The cottage is well equipped and has lots of items needed for a stay. There is a large garden with a lawn, a meadow, and lots of mature fruit trees and more. This is a great base to explore and enjoy the outdoors as that’s what it is all about in the countryside of Mayo and along the Wild Atlantic Way! Guest access There is access to the cottage and the garage to access bikes etc Other things to note The cottage is near the end of a narrow lane cul-de-sac so please drive slowly and be prepared to give way or reverse if you meet one of our neighbours. There are ample maps and guides of the area you can borrow on the book shelf along with books of interest. There are a variety of music CDs, books, monopoly too. There are some bikes in the garage you can pump up the tyres on and try them out. The BBQ is also kept there. Please leave things as you find them. The boat,fishing equipment, lawnmower, trampoline , gardening tools are not available for guest use. On walks please follow the country code, leave things as you found them, especially stone walls! enjoy your time in North Mayo!
