Description

Achi Village, Nagano Prefecture, known for Japan's best starry sky. This is a homestay where a family and a dog live in Namiai, a small village at an altitude of about 1,000 meters. Wake up to the sound of birds in the morning and have coffee on the wood deck on clear days. Relax in the hammock, enjoy a BBQ, or gaze at the starry sky from the garden or wood deck at night. In winter, the firewood stove is lit, so you can have a warm time. Not only for visiting tourist destinations, We hope you enjoy a trip where you can blend in with the daily life of the countryside. Our family and our Standard Poodle, Lou, also live in this house. We can talk together or spend time independently. Enjoy a unique experience that's a bit different from a hotel, characteristic of a homestay. Hirugami Onsen is about a 20-minute drive away, and Namiai Park, where you can enjoy stargazing, is about 15 minutes away.It is recommended not only for Achi Village, but also as a base for traveling around southern Shinshu. The space Guests will have a private room with a 6 tatami mat floor area.(Accommodates up to 3 people) This house is a one-story home that was built in 2023 based on my own design. The interior features natural materials, an open space with exposed large beams, and a wood-burning stove that is lit in winter. You can go directly to the wooden deck from the guest room. The bathroom, toilet, living room and kitchen are shared spaces with our family. The guest room has a lock and can be used as a private room during your stay. In addition, each room is designed with a connected ceiling so that the warmth of the wood-burning stove spreads throughout the entire house. Therefore, although the room is private, it is an environment where it is relatively easy to hear living sounds and conversations. This is a homestay-style accommodation where you share a family's living space, which is a little different from a hotel or a private rental. Guest access Guests will have a private room with a lock. You can go directly from the room to the wooden deck, and you are free to use the hammock and outdoor space. The bathroom, toilet, living room and kitchen are shared spaces with our family. You can also use the BBQ space in the garden. During your stay While living in Achi Village, we are involved in rice field activities and local events. We can introduce you to unique ways to enjoy this area, such as recommended hot springs, restaurants, and seasonal activities.I also look forward to talking with people who are interested in local life, farming, and rural life. During your stay, we can talk together and sometimes share a meal. Each person can spend their time freely. Just because it's a homestay doesn't mean you have to interact.I would be happy if we could spend time together at a comfortable distance, sharing a little bit of our lives. Guests from overseas are also welcome.I am still learning English, but I am also looking forward to interacting with you while we learn from each other. Other things to note ■ I live with Lou, a standard poodle 🐶 If you don't like dogs or have allergies, please consider this before booking. About the ■ Room The room is private, but there is no wall near the ceiling so that the warmth from the wood-burning stove can spread throughout the house. Therefore, it is an environment where it is relatively easy to hear living sounds and conversations. If you are looking for complete privacy and a quiet environment, please consider this before booking. About the ■ A/C There is no air conditioning in this accommodation. It is located in a rural area at an altitude of about 1,000 m, and even in summer, it often cools down to around 20°C at night, so a fan is provided. About ■ BBQs The BBQ space in the garden is available for free. You can also use the BBQ table, grill grate, tongs, and other tools. Please bring your own food, beverages, and charcoal. There are few places to shop nearby, so we recommend making purchases before check-in. If the accommodation fee per person per night (room only, excluding tax) is 6,000 yen or more, an accommodation tax of 300 yen per person per night will be charged. The accommodation tax is not included in the Airbnb accommodation fee, so please pay in cash at check-in. *If the accommodation fee is less than 6,000 yen per person per night, there is no accommodation tax.
