Dorset Farmhouse with a Natural Swimming Pond

We are renting out our wonderful and full of character family home for the summer. We are located 20 minutes drive from the beautiful Dorset Jurassic Coast beaches, 5 minutes from Beaminster and 20 minutes from Bridport, Crewkerne and Sherborne. Our house has everything you need for a comfy and fun stay. We have lots of space indoors and outdoors, and our USP is our new natural swimming pond, decking area and bbq / eating area. The space Our house is a home from home. Comfy bedrooms, two bathrooms (one with a bath, one with a shower), downstairs loo, a fully equipped kitchen (including an air fryer), a playroom / tv room (with lots of books, toys and dvds), a drawing room with a desk if you need to work from home, a small bar area, a conservatory, a small utility room and a lovely entrance hall. There is an open fire in the drawing room and a wood burning stove in the hall (hopefully you won't need either)! Outdoors we have even more. We are the final house at the end of the lane, with the most magical views. We own the fields surrounding our property, which can be used for walks. Our new USP is our natural swimming pond with a decking area for sunbathing and a built in bbq and outdoor dining area. If you have children we have a large trampoline (no net), football goal, rebound net, small astro with a hockey goal and table tennis. I am afraid we are NO DOGS or pets due to livestock and chickens. There is so much to do locally. Here are just a few ideas within 30 minutes from us: - Parnham Park with amazing gardens and a Petersham Nursery style restaurant. - Bridport Markets for a bit of shopping. - West Bay Harbour for boat watching, crabbing and fish & chips. - Jurassic Coast with beautiful beaches, walks, pubs and fossil hunting. - Charmouth for fossil hunting and the fossil museum. - Mapperton House - beautiful house, gardens and a lovely cafe. - Beaminster is our local town and has a greengrocers, butcher, bakery, pharmacy, Post Office, Co-Op and a small selection of wonderful shops and restaurants. - Sherborne has lots of wonderful shops, Sherborne Abbey, Sherborne Castle & Gardens. - 2 x Tennis Courts in Merriott - free to use and no booking system. - 2 x Paddle courts in Ilminster - booking and payment required. Guest access Guests can use all areas of our property, 25 acres in total, however there is no access into the barns / workshops / stables. The stables are rented out to one lady with her two retired horses, which you are more than welcome to stroke, but not ride. In the house we have locked up one small bedroom to store our stuff. Other things to note Please note, no pets allowed (including dogs) due to livestock in the surrounding fields and chickens.
