Affordable dry camping near MRNP!

Grab this spot in dappled sunlight, with plenty of room to relax and spread out after a day of adventure. Dry camping on two open acres shared with one other camp site. Enjoy boating and swimming on Mineral Lake - you're a 30-second drive from the public dock and boat launch. Or put your feet up next to the campfire after a day of hiking. This site is a beautiful, 30-minute drive from the Nisqually entrance to Mount Rainier. The space Tent camping at its simplest—a broad, flat site, a firepit, and plenty of room. Your site is in the midst of cottonwood trees for shade and next to a field we’re trying our darnedest to turn into a wildflower meadow. The site has a picnic table and a water barrel for wash-water or fire-dousing (but no running water or toilet facilities). Another campsite sits about 50 yards away. Between the property entrance and your campsite is where you’ll see our DIY efforts at big-space gardening, including a baby orchard (5 trees counts, right?) and experiments with water-saving flower beds. You’re welcome to explore! You’ll also see a forested area beyond, where we have a yurt that might be occupied with us or renters. Please note this is dry camping, and does not have running water, power, or toilet facilities. Guest access You share access to the entire west end with one other campsite. You’re welcome to roam anywhere, with the exception of the other campsite. Please check with us if you want to take a look at the east side of the property, where the yurt and woods are. Other things to note This site does not have toilet facilities. Please be aware that while there are some trees and tall grasses between you and a nearby quiet road, the tent and its surroundings are visible from the road. Take a look at the photos to get a sense of the space. You'll need to carry in your own drinking water and carry out your trash. This is leave-no-trace camping, including whatever your doggie, um, deposits. Thank you!
