RRAL n.º 5627 The space Casa do Porto stands where the village meets the Atlantic — a boutique five-room house built into the harbour itself, with the ocean at every window and the long memory of whalers and fishermen at the door. All five rooms come with private bathroom, direct ocean view, cotton linens, individual heating, smart TV, blackout curtains and silent ventilation. The shared spaces are arranged for unhurried use throughout the day — a fully equipped kitchen, an indoor lounge, and two outdoor spaces above the harbour: one with intimate two-person tables for breakfast overlooking the Atlantic, the other lined with sofas and armchairs for slower hours. Coffee and filtered water always within reach. Our team's service areas — for breakfast preparation, laundry and housekeeping — are tucked away in a dedicated part of the house, kept entirely separate from the guest spaces, so the rhythm of your stay is never interrupted. Beyond the front door, the harbour itself — fishermen at dawn, boats coming and going, and the village's whaling boats that still sail these waters. Guest access Your booking secures one of our five private rooms — yours alone for the length of your stay, with private bathroom and ocean view. Beyond the room, every shared space in the house is yours to use throughout your stay — kitchen, lounge, and both outdoor areas above the harbour. Wi-Fi reaches every corner, and free parking is available right by the house. Right next door is one of the Azores' most celebrated ocean pools — Atlantic-fed water, free of charge for our guests at any time. Bar Boavista, run by our team, serves cocktails and comfort food from 10am to midnight (June through September). Many guests also swim straight from the harbour itself. During your stay Casa do Porto has its own on-site office, staffed throughout the day. Between our housekeeper, the team at our Bar Boavista next door, and the host on duty, there is always someone close at hand — by phone, by message or in person, at any hour and for whatever the day calls for. The village mini-market handles day-to-day needs; the main supermarket is in Vila das Lajes, about 10 minutes by car.
