Cosy stone cottage near Hollywood

Enjoy a relaxing and peaceful stay at Gemma’s Lakeview Cottage in the Wicklow Hills. This "home away from home" overlooks the Blessington Lakes and is located just 5 minutes’ drive from Hollywood Village and c. 20 minutes’ drive from Glendalough. The space Recover after a long day’s hiking on St. Kevin’s Way or exploring the surrounding Wicklow countryside, and put your feet up in front of the wood burning stove in this cozy 1 bedroom stone cottage. Catch up on your sleep in the super-king sized, traditional brass frame bed and there is also a comfortable sofa bed in the living area so up to four guests can enjoy this warm and welcoming space. Your host Gemma lives in the adjoining property and, whilst the two homes are connected, the original stone cottage has its own separate entrance door and guests have private and exclusive use of an open-plan kitchen / living area with sofa bed, a double bedroom and a shower room with lots of piping hot water. There is also a private outdoor seating area with bbq and fire pit (upon request). Guests can also use the on-site laundry facilities and there is lots of secure parking to the front of the cottage. Please note that the surrounding farmland is home to livestock so please do not enter any field in the area without the farmer’s permission. The cottage is located in a rural area and is best accessed by car as public transport is very limited in the general area. Other things to note The cottage is less than an hour's drive from Dublin Airport and the town of Blessington is c. 15 minutes drive away, where you will find lots of local food shops, a pharmacy, supermarkets, cafes, pubs and restaurants. Nearby is Hollywood Village which is home to the popular Hollywood Café, Hollywood Inn and Tutty’s Pub. Visit nearby Glendalough and hike The Spinc, or try some of the many scenic walks in the area. Book a sauna experience at Foxglen Outdoor Wellness in Donard or at Bosca Beatha in Glenmalure. Please note: The cottage is only accessible by car as there is no public transport in the immediate area.
