Perched in the heart of the Normandy countryside, this authentic 19th-century thatched cottage offers an exceptional view of the valley, the river and the surrounding fields. A rare view that accompanies you at every moment, from the living rooms as well as from the terrace. Fully renovated with quality amenities, it combines old world charm with modern comforts to accommodate up to 6 guests. Here, we take the time to live, observe nature and enjoy the calm. Only 20 minutes from the beaches of the Côte d'Albâtre and a few minutes from Lake Caniel, this is the perfect base from which to discover Normandy. The large living room, bathed in light, is the centerpiece of the house. Thanks to its many openings, nature comes inside and offers unobstructed views of the river and the valley. A counter area, set up facing the landscape, allows you to work, read, have a coffee or simply admire the panorama. The pellet stove creates a warm atmosphere while ensuring a pleasant temperature year-round. The large table comfortably seats six people for sharing meals. Opening onto the living room, the modern kitchen is fully equipped with superior amenities. In particular, you will find: * coffee grinder * dishwashing machine * oven * baking sheets * microwave * fridge with freezer * as well as all the necessary small appliances. Even while cooking, you can enjoy the view of nature. The ground floor also includes: * one bedroom with a queen size bed and a large dressing room; * a bathroom with a spacious walk-in shower; * a separate toilet with a sink; * a laundry room equipped with a washing machine and a dryer. The upper floor retains all the charm of this 18th-century house. Note: Some beams limit the ceiling height. This space will be perfect for children, teenagers and adults under about 1.85 m tall. Access is via a traditional staircase, a little steeper than in a recent house, equipped with a safety fence for young children. There you will find: * an independent bedroom with a double bed; * a large open plan space including: * a cozy living room for board games, reading or music; * a desk; * an additional double bed; * a curtain to isolate this space for more privacy; * a second toilet with its sink. Garden: It is fenced on the river side and with the neighbors, but it is not fenced on the road side. Two terraces allow you to enjoy the sun... or the shade... at any time of day. The garden and terraces offer stunning views of the river, the forest and the Normandy countryside. No direct access to the river. We simply ask that you leave the kitchen clean and tidy before your departure (dishes washed, worktop cleaned, and trash removed). To kick off your stay, we offer you coffee and tea and provide you with some essentials (sugar, oil, toilet paper, etc.). These consumables are provided for the start of your stay and are not replenished during your stay.
