Historical ambience in Fürstenbahnhof Lübstorf

Dear guests! Welcome to the historic Fürstenbahnhof Lübstorf, the private reception building of Duke Johann Albrecht of Mecklenburg. We invite you to stay in our Gründerzeit-style holiday apartment. You can expect an exceptional living room in the Gründerzeit style, a large, cozy box-spring bed, and a fully furnished and equipped kitchen. Excellent bicycles and motorcycles are available for you for excursions in the area. We look forward to it! The space Dear guests, Welcome to our unique vacation rental, "Bahnhofsvorsteher," located in the historic setting of the old Fürstenbahnhof station in Lübstorf! As early as the 1920s, the former office and work area for the railway employees at the Wiligrad/Lübstorf station was converted into an apartment for the station master and his family. The amenities in the 67-m² (720-sq-ft) apartment were very basic at the time; there was no bathroom, no running water, and not even central heating. Today, this former official residence boasts a modern look with every comfort, while stylistically emphasizing its early 20th-century roots. The living area boasts a ceiling height of nearly four meters and is furnished with antiques in the Wilhelminian style. The over 150-year-old oak table comes from a furniture factory in Paris and offers plenty of space for eight people. For generations, the twelve-arm chandelier illuminated a reading room in a Hanseatic villa. It was saved and restored shortly before demolition and now shines with renewed, historic splendor. In the bedroom, a super-comfortable king-size box spring bed awaits you for sweet dreams. Take a look next to the bed: This antique mill wheel was used in a Belgian mill in the 17th century. In the early 20th century, it found its way to Germany, where it was converted into a rare, one-of-a-kind piece with small shelves. In the kitchen area, the good of yesterday has been combined with the best of today: In the fully equipped built-in kitchen, you will find modern NEFF appliances, including a fridge, stove, exhaust fan, oven, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, etc. A small popcorn maker is also available :-) The cozy bathroom awaits you with a bathtub and a sink/toilet. A modern Miele washing machine is also available for you, as are an iron and clothes rack. We look forward to seeing you soon! Guest access The vacation rental is located on the ground floor of the Fürstenbahnhof. Access is via the left entrance from the train station parking lot, through the stairwell. Other things to note You can find much more information about the station and its history on the Internet. The train station building is still under restoration; maybe we'll meet on the scaffolding!^^ For excursions, chic bicycles can be rented directly on site to explore the surroundings.
