Hayrick Cottage

Newly renovated cottage on a working dairy farm set in the peaceful Derbyshire countryside. Self-contained with lots of character and original features. Located on the edge of the Peak District, 3 miles from the picturesque market town of Wirksworth. The space You'll find plenty of character is this newly renovated self-contained cottage, with original beams and stonework visible. With two double rooms and one twin room, we can easily sleep six guests. Downstairs, underfloor heating will keep your toes toasty warm. Here you'll find the light, airy kitchen with a gas oven, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and microwave, as well as all the utensils you need for your stay. There is a wetroom bathroom with toilet, sink and shower. Also on the ground floor is the twin bedroom, two storage cupboards and a living room with freeview television and DVD player, or if you're trying to get away from screens for the weekend, we've also got a selection of books that you can borrow. Upstairs are the two double bedrooms, complete with in bath shower. We think you'll really love the original stonework and reclaimed wood floor, as well as the views over the fields. If you're visiting with little ones, we have a high chair and stair gate that you can use. Towels and bed linen are included. Guest access You have the whole cottage to yourself and you are very welcome to use our garden including the barbecue, so long as children are attended in this area. Other things to note We recommend bringing wellies or walking boots, especially if you're going to enjoy some of the local walks or if you're thinking of taking the footpath over to the nearest pub!
