Located in the gateway to West Cork, this rural location 6 miles from Bandon town provides an ideal base for exploring Cork and Kerry. This self contained peaceful retreat is situated on the grounds of a private dwelling house, surrounded by mature landscaped gardens. 20 min drive from National Rowing Centre, Farran Woods, 40 mins from Ringaskiddy Ferry, Millstreet Green Glens, 50 mins from Killarney, Bantry, 30 mins Clonakilty, Kinsale, Cork City & Cork Airport. Free WI-FI & parking available. The space Self contained open plan studio in a converted shipping container, containing a king sized bedroom, living area, kitchenette and bathroom. Includes outdoor seating area. The studio is part of a larger building containing a workshop and private gym. These will not be in use during your stay to ensure your privacy and security. We may need access the workshop from time to time, for maintenance, however we can do this via a separate entrance and will notify you in advance. Please be aware the studio is adjacent to our house, with a courtyard between which is used for guest parking. We have four cats who roam freely, so do not be surprised if they are sitting outside the studio from time to time! They are friendly, and extremely curious! Guest access Access to all the apartment Other things to note Please note there is no public transport available. We are based in a rural location, 6 miles from the nearest town. You will need your own transport. However private tours, pick up and transport during your stay is available on request at an additional charge. The Tigin is a converted shipping container. We have made every effort to use sustainable materials in the conversion and renovation process. Many of the materials are upcycled and furniture is preloved, however with all the modern conveniences. The Tigin does not have a washing machine, however we can offer guests use of our utility area (washing machine only, no dryer). We can also recommend self service laundry service in Bandon town.
