Near The Woods and Peaks

Description

Our peaceful home on a quiet cul-de-sac is a great location for resting or working, walking or exploring. With a beautiful private garden and a unique house design there is plenty of space to be blessed and refreshed. We are a 5 min walk to the Linacre Woods and Reservoirs, 10 min drive to the Peak District National Park, 7 min drive to Chesterfield town centre and a great base for north-south and east-west travel by car, train or bus around the UK. The space Our home is a unique design with an interesting arrangement of good sized rooms. With a south facing rear garden the sun-room, patio and garden are bright spaces to sit and enjoy the sunlight. The living room feels cozy but is a good size for relaxing and has a purpose built study area in an alcove through an archway. The dining room can be opened up to make a through living space to the sitting room or close the curtains to create a more cozy dining area with views over the garden. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking and eating. As the main point of entry the kitchen also has a coat stand and shoe rack. All the bedrooms have blackout curtains. The beds have new mattresses (2026), pillows and duvets, bedding and extra blankets. Towels are also provided. The Area Local shops are a 2 min drive/10 min walk and include a good-sized Coop, Farmfoods, pharmacy, and post office. In the same place there is also the best curry in the area at ‘Zaikas', excellent pizza at ‘Spire Pizza,’ and a lovely little cafe for breakfast, coffee and lunch. If you like to walk, jog, run or cycle, Holmebrook Valley Park with beautiful trails and a fishing lake is only a short walk in one direction and in the other you will be in the Linacre Woods with trails around the three Linacre Reservoirs. We moved to this home Chesterfield 20 years ago with our family to be near the town, but close the woods, park and the Peak District. We love our home, the neighbourhood, the town, and especially the beautiful countryside all around. Guest access We use the back door as our main entrance. Walk up the drive, under the carport and enter the gate through the wall in the rear garden. The key is in a lock box. Details will be provided at check-in. This is our family home. We live here for much of the year. We share our home with airbnb and other guests when we are working in the USA. Guests have access to all but one room in the house. The room above the kitchen is our family space. In the rear garden there is a shed and a small garden room that are not accessible to guests. The garage is not accessible but the car port is available for parking. In order to keep our home clean and hospitable for our family and all our visitors, we ask all guests to remove their outdoor shoes when they are inside the house. Thank you.
