The space Relax and unwind at Garden View Gîte, a charming countryside retreat near Saint-Hilaire-de-Voust in the heart of the Vendée. Perfect for couples, small families, and dog owners, this cosy single-storey gîte is surrounded by beautiful gardens and rolling countryside views. Inside, you’ll find a bright open-plan living space with a comfortable seating area, dining area, and fully equipped kitchen, plus two spacious bedrooms—one king-size and one twin. Patio doors from the bedrooms open onto a private terrace overlooking the gardens and pool. There are two terraces surrounding the gîte - ideal for outdoor dining and relaxing evenings. Guests can enjoy the heated 8m x 4m swimming pool, pétanque court, large lawned gardens, swings, and peaceful surroundings filled with birdsong and nature. Well-behaved dogs are very welcome, and there’s plenty of space for children to play safely. Located close to the medieval village of Vouvant, the forest and lake at mervent, and family attractions such as the Puy du Fou and Natur'Zoo in Mervent, Garden View Gîte is the perfect base for exploring the Vendée countryside or simply enjoying a slower pace of life. Please note that although this gîte is all on one level, there is a step into the house, into the bathroom, hallway and three steps in each bedroom down to the patio doors that open onto the terrace. Guest access Guests will have full and private use of Garden View Gîte and its two private terraces. The pool area, gardens and parking area are shared with one other holiday gîte and the property owners who live in a separate stone cottage next to Garden View Gite. Other things to note The gite will be clean and tidy for your arrival and it is expected to be left in a similar condition. For guests who bring their dogs: please note, dogs are not allowed on the beds and you must pick up after them in the gardens. This gite is not suitable for parties or celebrations and operates a 'Quiet Nights' policy between the hours of 10pm and 9am.
