Set right in the heart of Middleham with beautiful walks and cycle routes right on the doorstep, its makes the perfect base for the outdoor enthusiast. It has a spacious welcoming living room with open fire and comfortable sofas, perfect to return to after a day of exploring. A well equipped kitchen/dining room, two shower rooms, one of which is on the ground floor, and three bedrooms make this a very comfortable holiday home. The south-facing courtyard makes an idyllic place to return to in the evening, and watch the sunset with a glass of pinot in hand. Middleham is famous for its 12th-century castle, once the home of Richard III, making a focal point as it stands up high in this pretty village. You can take a tour of the spectacular keep and ruins, while taking in wonderful views of Wensleydale from the tower. Set around two cobbled village squares you will find a selection of tea rooms and traditional pubs serving food and local ales, individual shops and galleries. Renowned for its race horse training, you will often hear the clip clop of horses hooves as they make their way through the village up onto the gallops. Shop, pub and restaurant 500 yards.
