Cozy Ålhytte for rent on beautiful Mjølfjell. The 1974 cabin was upgraded in 2012 and is named Alvebu. The available 41 sqm are very well utilized with a living room, kitchen, bathroom, three bedrooms and a loft. Perfect retreat in beautiful natural surroundings. The space The cabin is idyllically located in the woods towards the river. Nature offers exciting experiences for all seasons. Prepared ski slopes right by the cabin in winter and fishing opportunities in summer. Access by car or train. Only about 15 minutes walk from the train station. From Voss it takes about 45 minutes by car. Private parking space right next to the cabin (approx. 200 m to walk along the trail) as well as a common parking space (Hedleplass) by the main road (Hedlo, approx. 400 m from the cabin). The cabin has electricity and water. Heating with fireplace plus thermostat ovens. In the bathroom there is an electric Cindrella combustion toilet, heating cables and shower with quick-heating hot water tank (28 l). Two bedrooms with bunk beds (75x190/200 cm) and one with a double bed (150x200 cm) as well as a floor mattress on the loft (105x200 cm). There is a TV screen (no channels) with integrated DVD player and connected Chromecast (no WiFi), DAB radio with Bluetooth, vacuum cleaner, shoe wiper, kettle, Senseo coffee machine (uses coffee pads), coffee press, fridge, stove, small dishwasher, fire pan and outdoor furniture. Several games, toys, books and DVDs are also available. Other things to note To avoid misunderstandings, it is important that all conditions for rental (location, facilities and own efforts) are understood before booking. The place is remote. The road from Voss is winding and sometimes narrow, a typical Norwegian road. Trains are an option. The cabin is shielded in the woods and can therefore be difficult to find, especially in the dark. Upon late arrival, the use of a flashlight is therefore recommended. Cleaning is required. The owner does not have the opportunity to check the cabin between all rentals, so it is very important that the cabin is left clean and tidy for new guests. The incineration toilet and fireplace must be emptied of ash and garbage and empty bottles removed. Vacuum cleaner should not be used for ash due to fire hazard. Ashes in the toilet and fireplace must be completely cooled when emptying, therefore it must be done on the day of departure before use. Basic items are refilled occasionally, but things can be used up, so toilet paper in particular can be a good idea to bring. There is also a shop in Mjølfjell. Bed linen and towels are not included and must be brought, otherwise disposable sheet bags and towels are available for purchase on site. All three bedrooms have duvets and pillows with Ikea dimensions (150x200/50x60), in total for six people. Regular bed linen is still fine. TV channels or Wi-Fi are not installed, but there is a TV screen with integrated DVD player that is also associated with Chromecast for streaming if your own mobile data is used. Various DVDs are available. Arrangements for "ring-cabin-warm" are installed and the owner ensures that the cabin is heated upon arrival in winter.
