A two-minute walk from a peaceful beach, this apartment is in the small rural town of Stomio with a few dozen other homes and 3 bars/restaurants. It's a favorite spot among locals but hardly visited by international tourists. There are many sites of historic significance and natural beauty within a short drive. Wifi is fast and reliable. The space A two-minute walk from the beach, this cute 1-bedroom 1-bathroom private apartment is in the quiet town of Stomio on the island of Evia. There are marble floors and wood-work throughout. It is fully stocked with all necessary dish and cookware, including a refrigerator, stove, oven, sink and dining table. The bathroom includes a shower with hot water. We provide clean sheets, pillows and towels. The apartment gets plenty of light through screened windows, but shutters can be drawn to get darkness for an afternoon nap. The neighborhood usually has a nice gentle breeze blowing through to keep everything cool, but the apartment also has an air conditioner. There is a large private shaded porch that looks out over the private garden. Guest access You have exclusive access to the apartment and porch in front of it. You're also welcome to help yourself to the fruits and vegetables growing in the extensive garden right in front of the apartment, including pears, tomatoes, and oranges. If you have a car, you can park it on the upper private street behind the property and enter/exit through the door there. Other things to note This a great place to come to relax and get away from it all. The lifestyle of the locals is very laid back. Manikia Climbing Fields The apartment is a short 25 minute drive (18 kilometers) to the Manikia Climbing Fields. Manikia is rapidly becoming an International climbing destination. Visit the Manikia website (manikia dot com) for details of climbing, hiking and mountain biking. Kymi - Balcony to the Aegean The town of Kymi is a 35 minute drive (21 kilometers) from the apartment. It has a plethora of restaurants, cafes, gift shops, pastry shops, bakeries, a butcher, grocery stores, a supermarket and much more. The port of Kymi (15 kilometers) is where the car-ferry leaves for the island of Skyros; worth a day trip or even better, an overnight stay. Visit Kymi for dinner and bring in the evening with the locals in the town square sipping an aperitif. Kymi and its gorgeous surroundings have not been discovered by the international tourists as yet. This apartment at Stomio is located at one of the several beautiful beaches of the Kymi area.
