Oak Cottage in Grassington was built in 1840 and was once home to 19th-century lead miners. This lovely character stone-built cottage is just a few minutes from all the amenities in Grassington and on the Dalesway. Oak cottage has a modern feel but still retains many original features. This cosy cottage has everything you need to explore the picturesque village of Grassington and the surrounding Yorkshire Dales. The space Oak cottage has a cosy beautiful living room with oak beams and a stunning oak staircase with a wood-burning stove, 2-seater sofa, an armchair and rocker, and a pull-out dining table with four chairs. If you are looking for a quiet place to unwind, in a Dales village with access to all the amenities the Oak cottage is perfect. We pride ourselves on our feedback and repeat guests. A newly fitted, well-equipped kitchen with fridge with freezer box, washing/dryer, oven, hob, and microwave. There is access to the private garden at the side of the property. The cottage has one double bedroom with stunning views of the dales and one small single bedroom. The bathroom has a newly fitted bathroom with a separate shower and roll-top bath, perfect for unwinding after a day's walking. • Free WiFi and flat-screen TV with Freeview and a selection of DVDs, books, and games. • Off-road parking for small / medium car, plus adjacent street parking. • Small private garden to the side of the cottage with table and chairs. • Gas central heating and a wood-burning stove . • Information leaflets and maps provided. • Sorry, no smoking & no pet policy. Via access through the kitchen, there is a small rear yard with an outhouse for storing bikes and an elevated small garden for sitting out and enjoying a glass of wine or two. The property does offer parking but please note this is only suitable for a small/medium car i.e. Astra, focus. If you have a larger vehicle then parking can be offered in a private parking space on the main street. All our linens are hired in, hotel standard including our towels, tea towels are included plus a complimentary log basket. Owner cleaned.
