Old village church

The former village church is located in a 1,600 square meter property in the middle of the village of Erbshausen-Sulzwiesen. Surrounded on all sides, it is an ideal retreat without being "out of this world." In the morning sun in front of the sacristy, on the church wall in the afternoon or in the evening under fruit trees. In the lower tower room on the couch, in the upper tower room – the former bell room – while watching the birds. There is always a nice place. The space The former nave is used by the owners. For you as guests, the space above it with two tower rooms is available: The apartment is distributed in the upper area of the former church and in the tower rooms. The living room is the space above the apse. You can sleep in the former bell tower. Kitchen, shower/bath and toilet are of course provided and furnished. … to relax, linger, enjoy, slow down. A note about children: For bookings with children, we ask for prior individual request. The roof sky is completely unsuitable for children: in the church tower there is a very steep ladder with a trap door from the bedroom to the living room, there are stairs without railings and steps to tumble down. Also, only one double bed is available to our visitors and no children's equipment. A note about the building is important to us: Treat the building with respect due to its history and former use as a church. Thanks! Guest access There is no separate entrance to the apartment – the main entrance of the church is the access to all living areas of the building. As guests, you will receive electronic keys to move around freely. In addition to the living spaces offered, the landscaped garden with seating around the Old Village Church is accessible and usable to all guests. Watering and weeding are included. :-) Other things to note Please note that the rooms are unfortunately not barrier-free and can only be reached via stairs. In the top of the tower, kestrels and jackdaws have a nesting place. In the old village church, a 2-year-old Scottish deerhound lives with us. He is very tall and very sweet 😊 Our guests have contact with him in our areas and the garden. The roof is "dog-free". Unfortunately, there is no shopping in the village. The “Gramschatzer Wald” truck stop at the nearby village entrance offers breakfast rolls and a 24-hour restaurant at any time. You can also charge your Tesla and other electric vehicles there. In the neighboring village of Bergtheim, 4 kilometers away, you will find the following shops: Rewe and Edeka (each with a bakery and butcher), Norma, beverage market, pharmacy, kebab shop and a train station. From here you can easily get to Würzburg and Schweinfurt in a few minutes. For restaurant recommendations in the area or in Würzburg, just contact us. We can also give beautiful excursion, cycling or hiking tour tips. Bicycles can be parked in the garage (and e-bikes charged).
