This historic house is beautifully and sunny located with unobstructed views of Dingevågen and Sognefjorden. It has been in the family's possession since the mid-1600s, and many have passed through the doors here. The land robber and fugitive king Gjest Baardsen has even been chained in the dining room. Dingja is a small village at the mouth of the Sognefjord. Here are beautiful hiking areas, historical monuments, and excellent fishing opportunities both in sea and water. The village has a long sandy beach, a grocery store and a marina. The space This is the main house on the village's first farm. We try to retain the charm of the past, without losing too much of modern comforts. Guest access The house is about 170 m2, and very spacious with 3 living rooms, 5 bedrooms and a loft. The house has a wooden terrace with outdoor furniture and a ground terrace with a fire pit. Short distance to the grocery store and long sandy beach with rocks provides opportunity for both ice cream and swimming on beautiful summer days. There are fish in the sea and river, and small trout and Arctic char in the lake. There is the possibility to rent a 14-foot boat in the lake. The fire pit is an excellent and atmospheric grill for the day's catch. In the house there is croquet, headlamp, hammocks, walking sticks etc. for free use. Should it rain, there are books, cards and Yatzy in the house. There is also internet (fiber) as well as DVD player and children's movies. There are 3 large TVs in the house, all with Chromecast. Other things to note Cleaning fee: I prefer guests to clean themselves. A cleaning fee of NOK 2,000 is calculated, which is refunded if you clean yourself. Please let us know at the beginning of your stay if you wish to clean up after yourselves. At the same time, check that there is everything you need of washing utensils and cleaning agents, and let us know if anything is missing.
