Cap's Caboose 30 minutes from Cheaha State Park

Looking for a unique place to stay? We have it. Cap's Caboose is a one of a kind overnight rental. It is in a quite friendly community, and is within a 30 minute drive of the beautiful Cheaha mountains (State Park). Ashland is the nearest town only 6 miles away and has several restaurants including McDonalds, several privately owned cafes and a Piggly Wiggly for groceries. There is a Dollar General in Millerville just 2 miles away. The space It is a 1940s era caboose that has been beautifully transformed into a tiny home. It has a living room, kitchenette with refrigerator, microwave and toaster oven. It also has a Keurig coffee pot. Bedroom has a comfy queen sized bed. It also has a full bathroom with shower. The futon sofa in the living room makes into a bed also. We also provide wifi. PLEASE NOTE: This is an authentic caboose that sits on authentic railroad tracks and cross ties. All cross ties are treated in a solution consisting of tar to preserve them. YOU WILL SMELL THE CROSSTIES INSIDE THE CABOOSE AS YOU WOULD AT ANY OTHER RAILROAD. In the hot summertime the smell can be pretty strong, so if you are very sensitive to smells, this may not be the unique experience for you. This smell does not constitute a reason for a refund as you have been informed before your stay. Guest access Guest are welcomed to walk to the pasture fence and see the sheep and walk to the pond that is behind the pasture. Other things to note Security cameras are used at various locations around the property. These are used for the safety of ourselves and our guests.
