Reconnect with nature at this local island farm escape. Designed by Anita, the architect living with Thomas at the farm, the Minihouse in clt wood is a calm retreat. Thomas, the french baker, runs a micro bakery on the island. Make sure to order a breakfast treat from us including home made tea and croissants. Enjoy the eternal daylight in the summer or northern light in the winter. We have chickens, bees and Odin, the social cat. Visit our vegetable garden and enjoy the island life. The space Fjellstad is our farm located on the island of Handnesøya in Nesna, along the Arctic Circle at the mouth of the Sjona fjord. Handnesøya is one of the 12000 islands in the Helgeland archipelago, Nordland province, Northern Norway. The island has 80 inhabitants and is connected via a short ferry trip from Nesna. The island have a grocery store which is opening 24 hours. Here you can buy organic vegetables and local craft made by the locals. The island has several organic farms, including a permaculture center with mini animals which is worth booking a visit. Guest access - Guests can use the fire pit next to the mini house in the fall and winter. - Access to the boathouse along the shore where you can borrow fishing equipments. - We have bikes you can borrow, including an electrical cargo bike. - Possibility to charge your car. - Vegetable garden tour / feel free to offer some help if you like.
