Priory Cottage - peaceful comfort in coastal spot

Light and spacious, this converted farm building in a quiet location offers excellent accommodation with its own parking. The cottage is equipped to a high standard and with 3 bedrooms, sleeping 5, it is ideal accommodation for a family or equally for a couple who like additional space. The cottage benefits from gas central heating, constant hot water, HD television (with Freeview), free Wi-Fi broadband access and has a stock of various board games. The space Priory Cottage is a single-storey building, originally part of the historic Abbey Farm's stable complex. The entrance leads into a hallway with hooks for coats and plenty of room for shoes and wellies. The cottage extends either way from here. To the right is the very well equipped kitchen-diner with scrubbed table and chairs, electric cooker, microwave oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. An iron and ironing board are stowed in the cupboard. Further along the hallway is the light and spacious living room with French doors leading onto the east and south facing patio, well situated for morning coffee and evening aperitif. A cosy gas stove offers additional warmth and glow in the winter months. Left from the hall are the bedrooms and bathroom/lavatory. The twin room comfortably houses two painted single beds, each having a bedside cabinet, and has a built-in wardrobe. The master bedroom, with its painted kingsize bed and Hypnos mattress, is comfortable and bright. It has a built-in wardrobe, bedside cabinets on either side of the bed and a dressing table. The single room is found down a step through the original brick and flint archway, and has the interesting feature of wooden tack posts (we think!) protruding from one wall. This cosy little room has ample space for its single painted bed, dressing table and wooden clothes valet. Also on this "level" are the separate loo/hand basin and the bathroom. The bathroom has a sloping roof but has been well planned and space is utilised perfectly. A superior Aqualisa shower rises at the head of the enamel bath, and there is a traditional heated towel rail/radiator for warmth and drying those thick snuggly premium towels, as well as a heated mirror (no mist!) above the basin. All bed linen is 100% cotton, with pure new wool duvets (maintaining coolness in the summer heat and warmth in the winter chill). Guest access Parking is a gravelled area outside the cottage and accommodates up to three vehicles. Priory Cottage has an attractive area of garden at its front, with grass and beds, including patio space with table and chairs. An Outback gas barbecue can be provided in the summer months. Access to the extensive gardens of Abbey Farm is a stone's throw away, off the main drive, where approximately three acres of lawn, shrubs, wooded area, stream bog garden and pond can be explored at leisure or simply enjoyed by relaxing on one of the wooden seats, watching and listening to the birds!.
