Homely, well equipped and quirky are frequently used guest descriptions. The cabin offers comfortable surroundings for both overnights and longer stays in a popular Cotswold village with good amenities. Not located on a picture postcard street, just in a private wildlife friendly garden with country views at end of quiet cul de sac but with main road running behind cabin. No struggle to find parking as ample space in own courtyard. The space Visiting on own or as a couple then enjoy Super King bed but easily splits into twins. Space in bedroom for cot. I have furnished in shabby chic style but with quality items all repurposed to create comfortable but functional environment. Love this quote left in visitor book "You close the door behind you and you've entered a secluded little retro world" You want a bit of peace and quiet well that is relative as most of my guests are escaping town life so find it very tranquil and scarcely notice road that runs at back of property. Others notice at first but soon realise view is more of a distraction especially when dining alfresco or enjoying the stars due to village Dark Sky status. Do remind guests that will need a torch when walking back from excellent Red Lion as no street lights. Having family members with disabilities I am aware of problems finding suitable accommodation so have designed with that in mind - not the complete set up but Octogenarian wheelchair bound friend stayed and he and wife found perfect for their needs. No sumptuous cottage garden - I'm the gardener so have to be realistic and my natural border does include grasses and thistles as after all a weed is only a plant in wrong place and bees and butterflies love. Also have bird feeders and nesting box just outside bedroom window and blue tits particularly love. Have thought about privacy carefully as there are occupants in main property but layout has been thought through to ensure everyone has own space without infringement on others enjoyment. Have had usual trials with IT but now have cabled connection to router and reliable service. Though most of my guests seem to really enjoy 'turning phones off' and listening to late Aunt's eclectic vinyl collection on multi media player. Similarly there is a TV but not dominant plasma screen just small one discreetly tucked into corner. Have had guests for long term stays so always happy to discuss options if you need a base while working away or if between house sales. Finally I do most of the cleaning and do my best but always fun chasing last spec of dust and spiders due to country location. Guest access Easy access for less able as ramped access. Have had wheelchair user guests stay. Outdoor space includes personal parking for two vehicles and garden/terrace with choice of seating areas. Other things to note The ethos has been to create a comfortable property from which guests can enjoy surroundings. Set apart from main property in own private 'courtyard' setting bordered by natural garden on one side. Little Bulpits is at end of a quiet cul de sac but is adjacent to main road at rear so there is intermittent traffic noise competing with the birdsong. Long Compton is a dark sky registered village so no street lighting which is great for astronomers but less handy if walking back from pub so torch provided. Easy access for less able. Private off road parking for cars/motorbikes/cycles. WiFi (fibre broadband), TV, Vintage style multi media radio/ player. Meals/laundry can be provided by arrangement. I am a Neal's Yard Organic Consultant so can supply extra toiletries, etc. Eco cleaners, etc. used where ever possible.
