Cozy apartment in the small town of Jamay, 1.5 hours from Guadalajara by car. The apartment includes everything needed for a comfortable stay and offers plenty of street parking. Located 10 minutes walking from the Plaza, 11 minutes from the Malecón, 18 minutes from Lake Chapala (Isla Xamayn), 10 minutes by car from the Ruinas del Templo de Maria Magdalena, and 17 minutes by car from Hacienda de Bella Cristina, a historic French-style home once owned by Porfirio Díaz. 9 min from El corral grande The space Welcome to Chuy’s Haven! This family-owned home was built with lots of love, hard work, and dedication by my parents. My dad was the original creator behind the vision of this home, which is why we named it “Chuy’s Haven.” Together, my parents created a place where family and friends could feel comfortable, welcomed, and at home while visiting Jamay. Many of the restaurants, attractions, and recommendations included in this guide are places I have personally visited and enjoyed growing up, since my family is originally from this small town.
