A water softener throughout the cottage ensures wonderfully soft water, indulgent baths, and endless bubbles. The sink sits beneath a window overlooking the enclosed courtyard garden, bringing in soft natural light and views of the greenery outside. Upstairs Stairs from the kitchen lead to the first floor, where the master bedroom sits to the left and the bathroom to the right. These are narrow, and very old so please go slowly. Built-in wardrobe, shelving, and a vintage-style dresser provide both character and practicality, while the softest carpet underfoot adds warmth and luxury to the space. Outside Outside, the cottage garden offers a wonderfully peaceful and private retreat. A front gate leads you along a charming footpath past a fern-filled garden and tranquil pond before opening into a larger paved courtyard designed for quiet mornings, evening drinks, and complete relaxation. Enclosed by wooden panel fencing, the garden feels wonderfully secluded — a hidden little sanctuary in the middle of town. Guest access Guests have exclusive access to the entire cottage and gardens throughout their stay. Everything beyond the front gate is yours to enjoy at leisure — from the charming fern-filled pathway and pond to the private enclosed courtyard garden. Whether you’re enjoying a quiet morning coffee outdoors or unwinding after a day exploring Hungerford, the space is entirely yours to relax in and make yourself at home. Other things to note To help ensure our cottage is the perfect fit for your stay, please note the following before booking: While there is no onsite parking, there is plenty of free parking available on the surrounding streets nearby. The cottage is attached to neighbouring properties, so we kindly ask guests to respect quiet hours, particularly during the evenings and early mornings. Pets may be welcomed by prior arrangement and entirely at our discretion. Please contact us before booking if you wish to bring a pet. Due to the cottage’s character and antique furnishings, the property may not be suitable for very young children or guests with limited mobility, as narrow stairs lead to the first floor. The cottage is designed as a calm and relaxing retreat, therefore parties, events, or large gatherings are not permitted. As this is a historic character property, you may notice charming quirks and uneven features typical of older cottages — all part of its unique personality and charm.
